Slammin' Vinyl | The Outdoor Experience | 9th August 2003
Recorded Live At The Entire Sanctuary & Fastrack, Rollers Warehouses Complex Inc Outdoor Stage, Milton Keynes

Philip Anim started off his career as a DJ in the early nineties, DJing his first ever set on New Years Eve 1992 at Innersense at the Lazerdrome. He got the gig as his friend's father was the head of security at the venue. 1992 saw him also play on Kool FM for the first time, guesting on The Weedkillers show. He would later on take over his childhood friend, DJ Buz's show.

Swift Landed a Job at the now defunct Lucky Spin record shop. This was very helpful, as full access to the studio next door, with in house engineer Pete Parsons (aka Voyager) was part of the package. This became a valued learning ground for the inspired artist. After a few releases on various well known labels, his hunger grew and he set up his own labels Charge & Blade.

Also had a show on Kool FM, and it was after one of his shows that he acquired the "Mampi" part of his name after MC Navigator, Crazy Legs & MC Foxy started calling him it.

Slammin' Vinyl is a UK-based event promoter that specializes in rave events, primarily focused on the drum and bass genre. The company was founded in 1992 by Grant Smith and Terry Ryan, who were both prominent figures in the UK rave scene at the time.

Slammin' Vinyl events were known for their high energy and intense atmosphere, with a focus on delivering a unique experience for ravers. The events typically took place in large venues such as arenas and sports halls, and were often all-night events that lasted until the early morning hours.

The first Slammin' Vinyl event took place in 1993 at the Sanctuary in Milton Keynes, England. From there, the company quickly gained a reputation for putting on some of the most exciting and innovative raves in the UK, attracting thousands of ravers from across the country.

One of the defining features of Slammin' Vinyl events was the focus on the music, with a lineup of some of the biggest names in drum and bass performing at their events. Some of the DJs who played at Slammin' Vinyl events over the years include Andy C, Hype, Randall, and Grooverider, among many others.

In addition to their rave events, Slammin' Vinyl also released mixtapes and albums featuring live recordings of their events, as well as launching a record label that released some of the biggest drum and bass tracks of the time.

Over the years, Slammin' Vinyl continued to expand and evolve, putting on larger and more ambitious events that pushed the boundaries of what was possible in the rave scene. The company continued to be active throughout the 2000s and into the 2010s, before eventually ceasing operations in the mid-2010s.
