These tunnels were built by the Việt Minh in 1947 and were used to engage the French colonial occupiers of Vietnam (referred to by the French as IndoChina). They were the model for the more well-known tunnels at Củ Chi, and both tunnel systems were used during the Vietnam war with the USA. Address: 139 Phú Thọ Hòa, Tân Phú District, TP HCM. The tunnel exhibits are all in Vietnamese, and the staff are not fluent in English. If you want to go in the tunnels, wear long sleeves and no shorts. Bring your own bottled water if you go, none are sold there. There are restaurants in the area, so no problem for finding a lunch place. Lately I've been using a lavalier mic - the Aputure A.Lav recorded into a Tascam DR100 Mk III for my voice overs. I've been curious if this dynamic mic I use for interviews could double as my voice-over mic. Do you think it's up to the job? I am reworking my little studio area and really need to get a nice boom arm and mic for my editing desk. Would be very interested in what you think.
