I decided to dedicate an entire video to the Mirage update and to do it super in-depth, since there's some stuff that other people haven't picked up on!
The general idea of this video is that it may be better just to record how good you are, rather than to deliberately try to get better. Find a long-term, less stressful method of getting better and you'll beat those sprinting away from the starting line.
0:00 - Teamwork, map strategies etc
0:21 - Aim practice routines
0:41 - How it could be better NOT to have a fixed routine
1:20 - Find an aim map
1:27 - Making a daily test
1:54 - Recording your score every day
2:02 - Rules you must follow
2:12 - Conclusion and future training
I've done this in video format, but some may find the instructions typed below easier to follow:
It's better to record how good you are already than it is to start a rigorous training schedule straight away. Aim is one element of your ability that you can record and improve in your own time. To improve your accuracy...
1) Download a map like THIS ONE http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=213240871&searchtext=
2) Set yourself a challenge that you can attempt but not perfect. For me, I change the DELAY to 0.25, the DURATION to 0.5 and the number of targets to 50.
3) If it helps, hide your gun model by typing r_drawviewmodel 0 and hide the hud with cl_drawonlydeathnotices 1.
4) Do this ONCE A DAY just before closing CS:GO for the day. Record your results in an excel sheet for a number of weeks. (You're free to do mock-tests whenever you want, but be sure to decide on the PROPER test before you start it. No going back, no re-doing it).
5) Once you've done this for a while, decide whether you want to set a training schedule, or whether you're happy just doing small tasks to improve your performance gradually over time.
I've based this approach on one that has worked for me in numerous areas of my life. I was going to start dieting and exercising, but instead I simply began recording my weight every week. After a while I noticed it changed without me doing anything, and that small things (like walking to the shops a few times a week) had a small but noticeable impact on my weight. I found this far less stressful (and therefore easier to maintain) than a proper routine. Hopefully this helps your CS:GO aim training as well! For teamwork and other parts of CS:GO you could use your matchmaking rank, which should hopefully increase as time goes on. Improving your aim will also help in this regard.

After having done so many maps recently I felt like making some music again. Where best to start than by listening to my previous stuff to see what worked and what didn't, along with a step-by-step video showing how they all came together?

Die, Jimmy, Die - 5th August 2010 - 20th December 2010
My 24th song. I remember it being a hot day in August (The 7th) when this song suddenly came together and I had a bit that I could listen to, over and over again. (Listen to it in version 12 - 13). This is was probably the one that I listened to most when making it- if anything, too much. I prefer the earlier versions to the one I eventually released. I think that I lost my way and because I didn't listen back to earlier ones, I didn't know what I had done. I barely listen to this one any more because it's so sharp and electronic, but there were so many different routes this one could have taken to become a genuinely good keygen song.

An old map from the earlier Counter-Strikes, now appearing in the files for CS:GO. Regardless of whether it'll become a thing or not, it doesn't hurt to take a look back at the map. I like nostalgia.

With the first Major of 2017 over, it's time to see how it stacked up against previous majors. Was it the most popular major of all time?
1:30 - Peak views per major (ACCORDING TO GOTV NUMBERS)
1:51 - Grand finals viewed per map played (Final = best of 3 maps)
2:07 - Tournaments compared (Quarter, semi and grand finals)
2:15 - Exception: Dreamhack 2014's low Grand Final viewership
3:11 - Columbus 2016's popular Quarter Finals
3:48 - IS CS:GO 'DYING'???
4:33 - Days between each major (Starting dates)
5:20 - How successful was CS:GO's latest major?
6:25 - Conclusion about CS:GO's future
The major assumption from this video is that the figures shown in the GOTV recordings are reliable peak viewer numbers. I'm aware that Cluj-Napoca apparently used some other streaming service that suddenly made it by far the most successful tournament ever but I'm just not buying it without concrete evidence.

I'm amazed by how many people fail to understand basic probability. However you look at it, you're more likely to lose money from case openings. As you open more, you'll lose more and more money. You'll no doubt get a knife eventually, but by the time you manage it you might have been able to buy several with the money you spent on case openings. Please don't fall into the trap of thinking you're somehow different or special. Use the simulator to satisfy your needs!
