ChinnyVision - Ep 232 - Decor Wreckers - Sinclair Spectrum
Picked this Spectrum game up in a retro shop in Southampton, Had never heard of it before so went into this like I would have buying a game in a shop in the 1980's. Game is running on a real Spectrum +2
Alan Sugar had a plan! He was going to bring the gift of email to everyones homes without needing a computer. Simple to own, cheap to buy? What could possibly go wrong? Except Alan couldn't resist on dipping into peoples wallets once he had the device in peoples houses. ChinnyVision looks at the 2nd iteration of the Amstrad Emailer, the Emailer Plus and also tears down the device to see the brains of this glorified telephone. Behold the end days of Amstrad!

For its era the Amiga had advanced sound capabilities. Instead of a sound generator it had a chip that could manipulate real audio. But how could you get audio into the computer and what could you use to edit it? Well the TechnoSound Turbo was one such device. A sampler that plugged into the parallel port, you could play in audio and play with it to your hearts content all in 8 bit quality.

Note I recorded this in January when I had a terrible cold, so don't worry I'm not suffering from 'the virus'.

We all tuned in on a Thursday night to watch Micheal Knight and his amazing talking car. Ocean snapped up the licence and promptly put out a tie in game for the Sinclair Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and Commodore 64. But does it capture the excitement of the TV show or is it just a horrific and shameful cash in from a company that should know better?
