M22 is a scenic highway paralleling US31 but running closer to the northern part of the west coast of Michigan's lower peninsula. We started just north of Manistee and ended with a drive around Crystal Lake, then headed back via M115. Crystal Lake is a large inland lake lined with cottages and homes that appears to have no public access, so no photos from there.
