PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE CURRENTLY STILL IN SELF ISOLATION BACK IN AUSTRALIA. This is day 5 of our thru-hike along the Appalachian Trail. We start this video around mile 28, a quarter of the way up Blood Mountain. We get to the summit on the most perfect of days. The weather is warm, the sun is out and there’s barely any wind. The views are incredible and it’s such a surreal experience to be somewhere we have watched many videos on when we were preparing for this thru-hike. The descent from Blood Mountain is much harder than it was when we we going up. We ended up getting lost on the mountain down a steep pathway, but we are able to retrace our footsteps back to the trail. We eventually make it to Neels Gap for a hot pizza and a resupply before heading to our next camp site (mile 35). Along the way, we discover beautiful river crossings, critters, sunshine, fellow hikers and our first open view, which made it a gorgeous 8 mile hike to camp. In our very first episode of our European cycling adventure, we leave the busy metropolis of Athens and head north up the coast. Being our first ever bike trip and the first time we’ve bike packed we were pretty nervous. Not a lot of filming got done, and the filming that did was not that amazing. We promise it does get better the more confident we get on the bike. We are very sorry in advance for our poor pronunciation of Greek towns, especially Corinth, that we manage to say multiple times wrong. This is the Final Chapter of our thru-hike of The Great South West Walk. We finally reach the Capes & Bays section of the trail and are completely blown away with the scenery we witness. Cape Bridgewater ends up being our favourite part of the GSWW and we're so happy we got to experience it in really good weather. We successfully complete our 250KM thru-hike in Portland on day 11 at around 1:00PM. Sadly, we captured zero footage of this! Nevertheless, thanks for watching!
