Hard Love .:. Hump Day Easy Talk
I have created this "series" with an idea to do vlogs with some "easy" topics, or just vlogging about some stuff in my life, or life on the chain... But, somehow on Wednesday, always come some hard topics and talks... So, this title has no too much meaning... lol...
In this video, I have mentioned two posts (and comments) that have inspired me to create it... One was by @jangle, the vlog that she created was about [listening each other](https://peakd.com/hive-119826/@jangle/rfslfdlg), but for realz... :)... and the other post that I mentioned was my weirdly named [Garbage Truck Story](https://peakd.com/hive-119826/@ph1102/ketibowh) from two days ago... Please check both of them and of course, check comments on them because some real gems are there...
One thing that I have noticed here on this social media network is that people are different than at the "ordinary" one (FB, YT, IG...)... Some people are acting the same here and there, and that is normal, but there is another phenomenon that I didn't see in other places...
On other SMN you can see a lot of mean comments, everyone is arguing with everyone, nobody listens to no one, and there is a ton of "discussion" without reaching any point or meaning... So, shortly said... it's a mess... lol... And, if you go on that road, and get lured into the discussion, you are done... lol... Your life is lost...
On the other side, here on Hive, or any other decentralized network, you will not see tons of engagement (like 100+ comments on posts... it happens, but rarely), but you will see valuable comments and discussions... There will be a couple of them, but you will notice in most of them that people do CARE about what they are writing... They are adding value to the content, contributing to the topic, help to the author (and other readers), or just adding their 2 cents...
And, yes... those 2 cents are sometimes REAL 2 cents, as you are very often rewarded for commenting and engaging with others... Please don't forget to check out the video for more details... ;)

At the very beginning, I would like to mention something that I was talking about before, but it looks that it was misunderstood... To be more exact, I didn't "invent" the thing of "sucking at the beginning", but I have embraced it in some of my previous blog posts... So, let's clarify things about that...
When someone tries to motivate you to start with content creation, if he/she is honest, it will probably tell you in some moment that you will suck in your first posts... It doesn't matter if it is a text post or video post... And that will be probably the case... But... Some people didn't understand the right meaning of that... So, as a result, we can see some worthless content on social media, as people think that they have just started with creation, and it has to be like that...
Well, it's not about that... When I tell you that YOU will suck, I mean at your weird behavior in front of the camera, or creepy facial expressions, or spelling mistakes in your blog post... But, that doesn't mean that your CONTENT has to suck! The value of your content, your message that you want to deliver, has nothing to do with you being a newbie or 10-year content creator... You, in your first blog post, can have a hundred times better message than some tired content creator which does it for years...
Later in my video, I was talking about different values that your content can (and should) contain if you want to do this crazy content creation job...
One of the important things is to have fun doing it, and not just you, but also your audience with you... Respect your audience, thrive to deliver value in EACH of your videos, and you will see results of it... Yes, it is important to show up every day, but don't cheat yourself and others by creating junk content for sake of creation... You are doing a disservice to yourself...

It was a Hardfork today on HIVE, and it looks that everything is running fine... So far, so good... I hope it will stay like that and if it does, this hard fork could go to the history books as the best one ever... :)
As HF went good, nothing is interesting to talk about that, so let us talk about fishing... :) I like to go fishing as it calms me down (even if I don't catch anything... lol...), as that is the way how nature works... Always there to help you with your fears, stress, or anxiety...
But, today in this video, I was talking about different fishing... The one where big players (in any aspect, industry...) are trying to lure and catch YOU... And when you are hooked, then they can do whatever they want from you... Sometimes, the methods of control are fear, or in our crypto space, FOMO and FUD...
When the bait is perfect, it's very hard to distinguish it from the "real food"... And sometimes, we don't even realize that we are already on the net...

If I understood well the [post](https://peakd.com/takeaction/@elianaicgomes/haventyoucheckedityetyo-65h418344087j00q7846bu080egy7n73) by @elianaicgomes, the title is a quote by famous Youtuber Russell Brunson, who has also started his career in the basement... It looks that there is no quality business without a good basement or garage... Just kidding... :)
Anyways, this quote got my attention for one specific reason, and that is that I don't agree with it... lol... I mean, I do get the point where he was going when he said that, but we have to look at the big picture sometimes... And it just reminded me of another great post that I read here on Hive by @denmarkguy, where he was writing about [ideologies and how they aren't real-life](https://peakd.com/hive-122315/@denmarkguy/ideologies-aren-t-real-life)... Well, I would say that this quote isn't that right in every case...
The perfect example where this quote doesn't work would be #decentralize #socialmedia networks as Hive, LBRY, Blurt, or even that one which begins on S... These networks have a model where they "incentivize" content creation and reward authors for doing that... If we would take that quote and implement it here, it would be like "produce content, but don't consume it" which will be totally opposite to everything that we are doing here...
It is a truth that there are many creators that "use this model", and create content with zero value, just for the sake of rewards without contributing to the platform at all... You can check the late post by @pixiepost, where she was writing about this problem and [creating content with purpose](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@pixiepost/lvbfcxib)...
I have left my opinions about this topic in the video... Please check it out and leave a comment about it... What is more important from your point of view? Is it possible to have one without another?

We have been lucky to witness Bitcoin reaching its new ATH (all-time high) a couple of days ago, and we will probably see it doing that more in the future... I know some people that are thrilled with all this action by BTC as they hold some, but what about others? How can people who don't have BTC profit from this?
Some people are Bitcoin maximalists and they just invest in BTC, and they aren't interested in any other coin... Also, some people like a specific coin and accumulate only that one... And, in the end, some people like to diversify their portfolio, who are buying coins with potential, without involving emotions or favorite a specific coin...
In whatever group you belong to, you have to agree that Bitcoin is the **grandaddy** of all cryptocurrencies... Maybe it is too slow, and it has big transaction fees, but it is first, and it the most popular... And what is most important, when it goes up, it attracts a lot of eyeballs... And not only to it but to all cryptocurrency world...
And that is the best marketing that cryptocurrencies can have... That's the free advertising for HIVE, LEO, LBC, and every other coin out there... But, I would say that it does a lot for our decentralized social media platforms... Why?
Well, all those people that heard of Bitcoin for the first time, or that they finally want to come into the crypto world, all they need to find information from the first hand... Is there a better place than on the blockchain? We just need to welcome them and made them stay...

I'm probably repeating myself a lot, but I find something very important to realize, adapt, and react BEFORE it's too late... I think that that's called to be PROACTIVE...
I remember one specific moment which happened this year in March-April when all this virus thing began... I have a friend in Germany, who isn't aware of cryptocurrencies, but he knew that I work with them for a couple of years... Well, he called me in those moments and asked me what are the good options to secure wealth, as in those moments money printing was going in 24/7 (which is probably happening all the time, but they don't talk about it)...
My friend isn't a millionaire, but still, he wanted to "secure the value" that he had in those moments... As I was in a similar situation as he, I had the same dilemma... which way to go... I was thinking about two options that were (and still are) available at that moment, buying gold or buying cryptocurrency...
I have suggested him to go half of his money in both options, and diversify his risk... Also, I have explained to him the risks of investing in crypto and volatility, but also telling that at THAT moment, crypto is heavily undervalued and that he should go into it... Also, important thing is that investing in gold (not large amounts) is more like a "wealth protection" thing, and investing in crypto is more like an investment... that has risks to go down, but also the possibility of large gains...
As for him, investing in crypto was "too complicated" and he was searching for a mode to ONLY "protect" his wealth, he went with 100% gold purchase... At those moments, I did buy a small gold bar just to "test the water", but I went on a "buying spree" of Bitcoin... I have started when its price was around 6K, and I finished my investing when it went to 9-10K... Of course, I had some crypto portfolio from before, but at THAT specific moment, I felt "forced" to go into crypto to protect my finances...
Well, this is a kind of thank you post for this **virus crisis** as if there were no money printing, I probably wouldn't invest more fiat money in crypto...
Similar things are happening at these very moments... The crisis didn't finish, and I would say that we are at the beginning, or even BEFORE the beginning, and it is still not too late to make some PROACTIVE moves to protect yourself from different scenarios that can (and probably will) come in a very near future...
Turn off your television, go outside for a walk and observe... Observe buildings, shops, people... You don't have to start a conversation with anyone, just observing things and surrounding with your own eyes will help you a lot to sort your mind and think about your next move...

I have planned for today to create a post about "My Hive Story", but I have watched a bit of disturbing video on a YT where a guy has literally broken under the pressure from crypto (but probably some other stuff too)... After just a couple of minutes, I had a short chat with one good friend who has just started with GPU mining and crypto in general... Between his lines, I have recognized that he is under stress and not "in the right place"... The Universe was pointing out that there is a more important topic to talk about today, so I have changed my plan and created this video (and post) sharing my experience when I had my "bad days" and how I have "survived" them... Maybe it will help someone...
At this point, you are probably aware that this post isn't about your favorite TV show and that the title is actually connected with the current moment in crypto, and with more similar things that life brings... The biggest difference between stock markets and crypto is in PEOPLE who are the participants... On the one side, you have professional traders (or they should be) and on the other side you have ordinary, everyday people involved in the markets... Professional traders are mostly trained to do their WORK without emotions as that's their JOB... An everyday guy does crypto from a hobby and isn't trained to work in a high-stress environment and it can't "disable emotions"...
That's the moment when people snap... When the pressure is too big to be controlled and everything looks like it will crumble and disappear... For those who are a bit longer in crypto (more than 2-3 years), things that are happening aren't that "doomed"... We have seen much worse things happening in the past, but some of us have forgotten them... That's why we have to stop and do that corny phrase... Stop freak out and zoom out... Just like a comparison, if we take a look at the Bitcoin price we will notice that the price is going down for the last 30 days... After hitting the peak of 67K, it went down to 47-48K where it is in the moment of writing these lines... So, the price dropped by around 30% and that's not a good thing... But... We can't forget that Bitcoin did the same just 2 months before, but in the opposite direction, going from 40K to 67K...
Also, I want to underline that the drop that the 2018 bear market lasted for a WHOLE year and the price went from 19K to 3K, which is a drop in value of almost 85%!!! So, if you survived that, these 30% is nothing for you... It can be down more, but still, we shouldn't freak out especially if we zoom out even more, and check the global economy, outside the crypto... We are doing great there?
I understand that it's not easy to see how your crypto portfolio is valued less and less USD... I have my bad days too and I'm not immune to everything that I have said in the video or written, but one thing is for sure... Crypto is here, it's a choice that we didn't have, and it's here to stay... We are here for the long term and these daily oscillations mean nothing in the big picture...
Just a final question... Even with this price drop in crypto, do you see some better assets that will help you in preserving the value of your wealth? Maybe exchange your crypto to FIAT and watch how it's depreciated by infinite money printing that's happening... Or maybe to buy a car and see how it losses 50% of its value in a year or two... Or maybe the real estate market which is at the edge of the next bubble collapse (my personal opinion)?

I have recorded this short video on my way back home from one of my evening walk in nature... It was a couple of days ago, and I think that I have done one video before, which has triggered another important topic that I wanted to share with you guys...
The fact is that we are living in challenging times at the moment, and it's also the fact that our "beloving" mainstream media don't help us at all in these times... When you turn on the TV all that you can hear are some bad news and how people are dying... But, that would be some other post topic...
The problem with censorship is getting more and more present, as one side would like to push one side of the story and silence the other side... That would be like forcing all people to think the same... And as @jangle said in one of her comments, that would be one boring world... and that's right...
But, the good thing (and in someone's eyes the bad thing) is that we have different views, different opinions, and in the end, I would say different views of truth...
As much as we would like to WRITE Universal truth in our history books, that truth can't be 100% true... I know that it sounds a bit crazy, but it is like that... Truth is written by the winners... but, let's put that also on the side...
The problem is coming down to you, and me... We have different truth... We have a different view of truth... Probably neither of us is telling the REAL truth, but we are pushing our "version"... What is the solution to this? Ignore people? Fight? Wars?
It doesn't have to be some BIG thing... It could be an opinion about some company, website, industry, crypto project, certain cryptocurrency, etc...

We should know that things just have their time when they are matured, and the same thing goes for us... As I said, we are working hard to get to the point of "realization" of our dream, or the fruition of our hard work is finally paying off... But, on the other side, we can push that to happen, we can't force it as it will be contra-productive and just slow us down... **It will happen, when we are ready...**

We have been working hard the past months to develop something from just a simple idea to a huge project that will grow... Uncertain-I-Dont-Think-So
In the beginning, I have to admit something... I cheated a bit with this video, as I have recorded it yesterday, and not today... :) In the video, I have mentioned the neck pain that I have for the last couple of days and I couldn't know how will I feel the next day, so I have decided to record the video before actual Wednesday...
That is also justified with my mention of BTC price going down when it actually had today a nice 10-15% boost... Anyways, the message that I have sent inside the video is still valid and valuable... I was talking about my neck problems (lol), and that is also valid as it still hurts, but luckily I feel better today... Also, I was talking about my view on Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies at this moment... Why you shouldn't be scared, afraid about the future of crypto...
It's very easy to get caught by FUD when every mainstream media is pumping fear... The best solution for that is very simple... Just turn off your television, don't open the biggest MSM websites, and try to follow the news on decentralized media (HIVE, LBRY) where you can get reactions from first hand, but your friends who LIVE in a certain part of the world and can tell you what is REALLY happening...
