Hey y'all! I know it's been a minute but I just got back from vacation and I'm back with a new video on our favorite topic, computer science! This video is me going through some questions that were asked on Reddit about computer science and having a career in software engineering. As you all know, I recently graduated from college with a degree in computer science and I'm currently working as a software engineer. A lot of my advice from this video comes from what worked for me when I was applying for internships, looking for jobs, and trying to understand what a career in engineering would look like. I think this video will be helpful for anyone interested in computer science or software engineering in general.
@00:50 - Computer Science Major who is not taking coding related classes this semester @02:52 - Should I take summer classes or try to get an internship? @04:22 - Do you constantly have to keep up to date with new things to maintain a computer science career?
Hi friends, this is a video about the "worst" thing about being a software engineer or software developer. Of course, I love working in engineering and developing cool things but there are times where I can get super frustrated and I wanted to share those moments with you all. I hope you guys enjoy this conversation and I want to make more of these type of videos in the future. Let me know down in the comments some things you love or hate about being a software engineer or being a student who studies computer science.

Friends! I wanted to take you through what I've been building for these last few weeks. I've been building a web application from scratch using React and AWS Amplify. I knew about neither of these frameworks/platforms when I started but it has been fun building something I'm really passionate about. The goal is to turn this into a series showing you guys how I plan to build out different features in the web app, obstacles I'm facing, and whatever else that comes up along the way.

As I promised in my last video, here is a tutorial on building a bare-bones web app from scratch using react and aws amplify. These are the exact steps I used to get started on my personal project. This react app is also "serverless" which means that all the backend is in the cloud. Aws amplify makes it really easy to get you up and running when you want to build quickly. This is my first code with me tutorial video so please be gentle lmao. You'll find all resources linked below! Don't forget to subscribe :)
