Welcome to the 1st video in my new series of videos called the Strange Phones playlist. In this series of videos I analyze a specific strange design choice or feature on a phone and give you my reasoning as to why such an engineering decision was made.
We start this series off with the Motorola CRUSH from 2010 which is a phone that has an awkward upside down design. The Motorola CRUSH is a sim less CDMA phone and was released on the US Cellular Network and didn't really sell well for obvious reasons. It runs a proprietary OS sort of based on the look of Motorola's older Motoblur skin and is quite a rare phone due to there being not many of them around. The weird thing about this phone is its button placement and icon placement at the top of the device which seems really confusing at first but makes more sense ergonomically as I explain in this video. I also have another one on the way with a cracked glass.
I will be doing the usual retro style review on the Motorola Crush in a few weeks and of course using the Motorola Crush in 2022 or Motorola Crush 2022. And I should also do a using Motorola in 2022, Motorola 2022 and best Motorola phones in 2022 so stay tuned!
These are considered rare phones or collectible phones but I am still keeping them in my phone collection since they are considered as a vintage phones or retro phones.
My collection also includes Nokia Prototypes, Blackberry Prototypes, Motorola Prototypes, Sony Ericsson prototypes, Sony Prototypes, HTC Prototypes, Rare Nokia and other rare developer devices! These phones are no Android 11 or Android 12 powerhouses and It also ain't no iPhone 13 Pro Max, Google Pixel 6, Lumia 950Xl, Lumia 1520, Lumia 1020, Google Pixel 6 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Motorola Edge S or OnePlus 8T but are definitely interesting phones on their own!
So, lets take a look at the weird Motorola Crush here in 2022 and look into why its designed like this!

This is my 50th #Shorts video showcasing the legendary Nokia N8 from 2010. The Nokia N8 ND filter or Neutral Density Filter is a filter built into the N8’s camera that it uses to filter out bright sunlight. It only engages when the sun is extremely bright. The N8 is widely considered as one of the greatest camera phones of all time. Boasting a legendary Carl Zeiss Optics Nokia Camera that can easily outdo some modern phones, A good display, Runs Nokia Symbian, has a very unique dual slider mechanism, loads of multimedia features, a very long battery life and many more. Being a device from the Nokia N-Series, its premium features were highly regarded at the time and still are to this day. The N8 is also a vintage Nokia and a part of the lineup of premium Nokia phones such as the E7, N9, N8, N97, N900...etc. The Nokia N8 was one of the best-selling Nokia smartphones of all time. i-bought-the-cheapest-nokia-lumia-1520-2
I got this Nokia Lumia 1520 for a mere $6.77 off eBay. Making this easily the cheapest Nokia Lumia 1520 on eBay. The phone was listed as an Alcatel Idol 4S which is a considerably less valuable phone than the Lumia 1520 hence the price.
I have covered the Lumia 1520 in a full retro style review a few years ago so go check it out!
The Nokia Lumia 1520 is a Windows phone from 2014 which was the flagship Windows phone of that year and the largest Windows phone in terms of size and display size. In that video we will be taking a look at the Nokia Lumia 1520 in 2023 and see if its still usable in its state as of now. We will cover the Lumia 1520 Camera, Lumia 1520 Windows Phone Store, display, battery life, performance and many more and basically anything needed to know in using a Lumia 1520 in 2023! Its also considered as a collectors item at this age and since I am phone collector with a massive phone collection, having this phone was a must.
Like promised, this is the Using the Lumia 1520 in 2023 or Lumia 1520 2023 video that I said I will be doing. So after the Apple WWDC announcement was done, everyone was left surprised when they announced that the 7 year old iPad Air 2 was getting iPad OS 15. Released in 2014, the iPad 2 is known for being the most supported mobile device ever and that just got longer when Apple announced that it will be getting iPad OS 15. This means that the Air 2 will be getting the new custom IOS 15 widgets, calculator, IOS 15 Battery Saver mode and many new features. This has also sparked a debate on the Android community regarding update comparisons on similar aged android devices and is a serious issue that must be discussed.

In this video I try and fix this Galaxy Note 8 that wont charge. I recently got this note 8 for a mere $18 and all it needed was a new battery as its battery had puffed up. You can find the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Battery replacement video on my channel. In this video I diagnose and fix the charging issue this phone has where it turns on but wont charge at all. Samsung phones are known for these charging issues and usually I'd have to do a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Battery Replacement but turns out I didn't.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in 2021 is still a very popular phone and this phone usually goes for like $150-$200 so for a mere $18 its probably the cheapest Samsung Galaxy Note 8 ever.
Used Galaxy Note 8's make great budget phones in 2021 and I will be doing a full Using The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in 2021 or Galaxy Note 8 2021, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 In 2021 videos etc. It Galaxy Note 8 initially ran Android 7.1.1 Nougat and was finally upgradable to Android 9.0 Pie and recently Samsung dropped full support for the Note 8 in 2021.
Its no Android 11 or Android 12 powerhouse and It also ain't no iPhone 13 Pro Max, Google Pixel 6, Google Pixel 6 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Motorola Edge S or OnePlus 8T but its definitely an interesting phone.

Here's an update on that Motorola G Stylus 2020, which was heavily water damaged. I managed to fix it in a previous video and it had many issues back then which I thought would be easily fixable but due to part prices and constantly reoccurring issues I was not able to do much. This is the 2nd Moto G Stylus from that parts lot that I got for a mere $36 off Mercari. This one is the heavily water damaged board mixed in with the smashed frame. The good frame and board were used in the previous repair video to create a perfectly working phone which I sent off so my mom can use it. With the parts I have left, I will attempt to restore the body on this phone and get it fully working again! The Moto G Stylus is a mid ranged phone from 2020 with a Stylus, made to compete with phones like the LG Stylo 6. It is also one of the best budget phones with a Stylus.I will also be doing a using the moto g stylus in 2021 or moto g stylus in 2021 and of course Moto G Stylus Android 11 Update review and eventually Android 12 review if it does get the Android 12 Update. It aint no iPhone 12 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Motorola One Ace 5G, Motorola Razr 2021, Motorola Edge S or OnePlus 9 Pro but its still an amazing phone.
