Are all genderfluid people "transtrenders"/confused? Spoiler: no.
--------------------
The study: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.mehy.2012.01.041
→ Findings:
- There are brain differences between genderfluid people and cisgender people
- Genderfluid people are more likely to suffer from bipolar disorder (a disorder with a few psychotic symptoms, but that aren't found in every people suffering from it, so identifying as genderfluid isn't likely to mean "confused because of psychosis")
- "THE MAJORITY OF BIGENDER INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCE PHANTOM BREATS OR GENITALIA CORRESPONDING TO THE NON-BIOLOGIC GENDER WHEN THEY ARE IN A TRANS-GENDER STATE" → Even if some/many genderfluid people may be confused about their gender, it's very likely that most of them aren't cisgender.

I used to call myself a "transcentrist" because I didn't believe you need gender dysphoria to be trans. As you can guess (because you're smart ;D), it's not the case anymore. What changed? Find out by watching this video! *epic cinematic classical music with violins and trumpets plays*

In this tutorial, I teach how to do high pitched fry screams! To make low pitched ones, put the vibrations in the back of your throat instead of the front. Once you got the technique to do one kind of fry scream, you can do many more!

I am a white man, so some people who aren't men and/or white chose not to listen to me and to dismiss me because I'm "priviledged". Are they right? Are all white men priviledged? (spoiler: apparently no) Let's find out with buzzfeed!

Yes, I did record that the day I recorded the "Are You Yourself?" video.

"HRT causes cancer and heart attacks, a female body needs female hormones to be healthy and vice-versa!"
"That's not true, HRT is not dangerous because it's bioidentical to what cis people have and having hormone levels that don't match what is expected of people born a given sex is not an issue as long as their hormone levels are in the range of cis people of the opposite sex!"
Who's right? Science (who does not care about your political agenda) will tell us!

SOURCES
Trans women
Mortality risk:
- Increased [1][9][10], but a study found a higher mortality risk before the 1990s [15]
- Not increased [7]
Health risks that don’t increase on HRT contrary to what is commonly believed:
- Cancer (in general) [4][9] → breast cancer risk stays in the male range despite breast growth [6]
Higher mortality risk unlinked to HRT:
- Drug use [9]
- HIV [1]
Mortality risk that decreases on HRT:
- Suicide attempt risk is higher than cis people after hormonal treatment [1][9][10] and sex-reassignment surgery [15] , but it’s decreased compared to the suicide attempt risk pre-transition [11][12].
Mortality risk that increase on HRT:
- BMI increase [13][14][17][18]
- Type 2 diabetes [4] → decreased insulin sensitivity [13][14]
- Cardiovascular disease [1][2][9] more specifically:
• Cerebrovascular disease [4][10]
• Pulmonary embolism (usually during the first year of treatment) [4]
• Venous thrombosis (usually during the first year of treatment) [4][7]
- Hematological cancer [9]
- Pulmonary cancer [1][9]
Health risks higher than females but in the male range:
- Myocardial infarctions [4]
Cardiovascular risks are associated with oral estrogens (pills) but not transdermal estrogens [2][7], and trans women have worse cardiovascular biomarker profiles than cisgender men independent of hormone use and HIV serostatus [5].
→ In the study used as a source, cis men had obesity rates twice as high (53%) as trans women (23%), so these do not explain the poor cardiovascular biomarkers.
The prothrombotic effect of oral estrogens is due to its molecular structure rather than to a first-pass liver effect [8].
Health risks that improve on HRT:
- HDL increase [13][14]
Trans men
Mortality risk:
- Cis male range [1][4][7][9], but a study found a higher mortality risk before the 1990s [16]
Health risks that don’t increase contrary to what is commonly believed:
- Cardiovascular risks [2][4][7][9][10][17]
- Cancer (in general) [4]
Health risks whose prevalence aren’t different from that of cis people:
- Suicide attempt rates after sex-reassignment surgery (female rates) [16]
- Cerebrovascular disease [4]
- Myocardial infarctions [4]
Higher mortality risk unlinked to hormones:
- Type 2 diabetes [4], unaffected insuline sensitivity[13]
Health risks higher than females but in the male range:
- BMI increase [3][14][[17][18]
- HDL decrease [3][13][15]
