Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time 01 - Whoa Dude, Déjà vu! (Stages 1-4)
TMNT IV: Turtles in Time was developed and published by Konami.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their respective characters are now owned by Nickelodeon.

Back in the days of 1992, Konami was one of the companies you could rely on for quality content. With a wealth of arcade and console classics, there wasn't much going wrong with them. One thing you could truly count on is the way they handled licensed content, especially that of beloved cartoons. While this channel has touched upon the likes of The Adventures of Batman & Robin along with Tiny Toon Adventures, one of the company's greatest successes has always been with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
While the first game has a pretty rough outing, it definitely wasn't hated mainly because of the way things were back then. However, as soon as the game series started to focus on beat' em ups, the series really found its calling. All of these efforts eventually led to the creation of Turtles in Time. Shortly after the success from the arcades, the question popped up in everyone's mind. How in the world are they going to make this for a gaming console?
This SNES game was their answer and to this day, I believe this is one of the best arcade-to-console conversions ever made. The fact that despite the hardware it was working with, this game runs butter smooth. Despite the drop in visual and audio quality, it still looks, plays and sounds all right. And most of all, you don't have to sacrifice quarters to start it up. It's there whenever you want to play.
Join me as I dive right back into the past and re-live this game and all of the joys that brought, presenting a great representation of the pop culture icons that are continuing to come back into the limelight once more!

If there's one thing that this game likes to do a lot. It's trapping you in a situation where you can't escape from. In this case, it makes sense because there's a guy waiting outside to kill you. However, this won't be the last time AND it will be for dumber reasons.
This dungeon isn't too bad, the enemies here are a step up from what we've been tangling with before but my biggest concern was keeping my HP up when they're a lack of healing items to go around. Man, this game sure has a rough start!

Well, with that creature out of the way, we can make our way out of its newly created grave site! The awesome thing is that people have grown and learned new stuff from the experience and we got some more kick-ass gems! Better yet, technology still works around here, so we can now partake of an elevator ride! Then, we learn that the Empire isn't ran by morons, the border's being guarded, CRAP! Well, what to do now? Great, do we have to rely on Niko..?
Thank goodness Luze and Saura shows up in the nick of time, we definitely needed a Deus Ex machina in our favor for a change. Granted, this situation really wasn't THAT hopeless, it's just that L'Arc and the gang are probably tired of beating up on people all the time.

This is a pretty big update guys, I'm deciding to make some serious changes to again, deal with the consistency problem. The growing ball of procrastination I would like to call it. The Factory Stage is an interesting jump up in difficulty from the fourth area. While the stages themselves are not menancing in layout, the enemies are definitely a pain! They hide, they cheat, and they will steal your life if you're not careful! However, despite the evils that you'll experience here, if you're careful and clever, you will reap an extreme amount of riches in power-ups. You WILL be needing them, trust me!

We've reached the second half of the game and golfer beware, this next tournament has CHOMPERS! Yoshi Championship takes place on the wonderful fruit-filled location of Yoshi's Island. Having Yoshi at the helm again, we will learn that this place has the atmosphere, landscape and prestige fitting of a paradise. However, we also realize that this golf course will provide some rather challenging holes. Combining water hazards, bunkers and OB areas with fairways that will put you between a rock and a hard place.
Also, beware the Yoshi's Cookie holes! Tasty as they look from a helicopter, they will prove to be the holes that may slap you with a double bogey or higher!

Hey guys, I've decided to start this Let's Play back up for a MYRIAD of reasons. One being that I never actually finished the Let's Play redo in the first place. Two, the fact that Konami has forgotten one of their cult classic series. The third reason is that I'm trying to secretly drive up a petition to possibly knock some sense into Konami to maybe DO stuff with this series again?
To TALK about the series, this game can only be explained by actually seeing it. The game is off-the-wall wacky fun and the story is not to be taken seriously except in the case of advancing the plot. Far and away, this is one of my favorite N64 games and my joy of getting my hands on it before is why I want to revisit Goemon, his friends and whatever gets thrown his way!
