We welcome Gay Dillingham to the April full moon edition of ATTMind Radio. Gay is an award-winning filmmaker and the director of Dying To Know: Timothy Leary and Ram Dass.
We have her on the show to talk about Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert (aka Baba Ram Dass), who they were on the surface of history but also who they were as people, friends, and members of a larger community.
If you do, or don't know who these men are it's still a worthy listen, as, like Gay proclaims in the film, "whether you know them or not, chances are they changed your life".

[EDIT: Tarzie's last name is "McLean" not "McClean"}
There is a current resurgence in the use of psychedelic medicines as tools in personal healing and transformation. But what does personal healing mean? Transformation into what? And what role are psychedelics playing in the process? Information presented to us about advances in human knowledge via the media or other sources leave us with very little in way of personal guidance.
In responding to the lack of quality information around this discussion, James, Tarzie, and Nicole will discuss how these healing processes can unfold and how this kind of personal work can be routed optimally in order to have safe and meaningful experiences. They will also share their own personal journeys in navigating healing work. This will include a panel presentation, an opportunity for a short experiential exercise, as well as questions and discussion.

We are a traumatized people, a people silently bequeathed a heritage of toxic treatment, under-care, and various forms of violence. It is encoded into us during our early years, directing the development of our neurobiology, personality, and morality. We then pass it down accidentally as an extension of an ignorance propagated by a society founded on SHITTY advice on raising children. But we are not lost, nor are we locked into this cycle. We have an opportunity to make a profound difference on the future world by raising healthier, happier, and more well-adjusted kids.
The guest on this episode, Darcia Narvaez, Ph.D., is here to give perspective on what that might look like. She walks us through the influence Western conventional culture's child rearing tendencies has on the individual and the collective, from neurobiology to psychology to society and ecology. We also specifically explore several conventional practices, their harm, and alternative options.

There are some commonalities sewn into the foundation of the human experience:
we are all subject changes we’d rather not be subject to, we all have the capacity to love and to hate, we all suffer and we all desire freedom from suffering, we are all born and we will all die and furthermore so will everyone we know and care for.
Today’s guest is a man with a propensity to contemplate big questions around dying, death and grief, and a long history of being on the front lines of what he calls “the death trade”.
Welcome, Stephen Jenkinson to Adventures Through The Mind.

I've been experimenting with microdosing for about 2 years. It has been one of the more important personal growth and mental health practices I have had on hand in that time. This video is sharing my perspectives and experiences between magic mushrooms (psilocybin) and LSD and the differences in what they have offered me.
Including my comparison of microdosing LSD to Adderall and Modafinil for ADHD and ADD.
