This Escapement Time is my first proper flieger after my gateway watch, the Seiko SNK809. I never understood the pull of these watches until recently. This budget flieger is part of an upcoming glut of AliExpress watch reviews on my channel.
"Flieger” is the German word for “pilot”. These German B-Uhr pilot watches were worn by the German Luftwaffe in WWII and came in 2 dial combinations; Type-A and Type-B. The one I have with me today is the Type-B dial.
P.S. This definitely looks like a good Laco Aachen or Stowa homage if you're in the market for one.

This is a Seiko automatic watch I've been eyeing for close to a year. The SNXS73 / SNXS73K has been getting progressively harder to find in the market, and prices for it have been on the rise. A lot of people online have referred to this Seiko 5 (and it's brother, the SNXS79) as a Rolex Datejust alternative - with its silver dial, baton hands and indices. I wanted to get this affordable watch in my hands to test it out for myself.
Here's a quick unboxing of the Seiko SNXS73 where I share my initial thoughts on this classy, affordable dress watch. I'll follow this up with a review after wearing this Seiko 5 for a couple of weeks. That will give me time to see if this really is an affordable Rolex Datejust alternative.
