So the way the academic and Democratic establishment wish to “improve” education is by forcing taxpayers to give more money to our broken education system and by forcing young people to stay locked in it longer.
Joe Biden specifically wants to make public universities free for families who make under $125,000. He also wants to give universities billions of dollars to fund the expansion of their facilities, outreach programs, federal work-study as well as providing additional privileges and money to minority-serving institutions.
This is a subtle way to chain young people to a liberal professor.
Now I know that might sound harsh, but think logically…
What choice would an 18 year old have?
Go straight into the workforce…
Or join his friends for a $100,000 all-expense-paid 4 year ride to an all-inclusive resort and all he has to do is periodically sit through a liberal professor’s lecture.
It’s a no-brainer!
Of course, the overwhelming majority of young people will attend indoctrination camp, i.e. university.
If you’re a Democrat you may not think of it this way because you’ve so thoroughly bought into the myth that schools are essential to education.

Don’t vote.
Don’t vote if you can’t name the 3 branches of government. Don’t vote if you can’t name 10 U.S. Presidents. Don’t vote if you can’t name your state’s U.S. Senators.
Because how are you suppose to put somebody in a position when you don’t understand what that position does? How can you hold the government accountable when you don’t even understand the very basics of government 101?
An analogy I like to use is… imagine the government as an office building, politicians as the workers, and the American voter as the manager. If the manager only cared about whether his workers liked the Jets then how competent would those workers be in doing the thousands of other things they are expected to do? And so in telling everyone and anyone to vote we are further dumbing down our metaphorical manager. If we want smarter government we shouldn’t encourage uneducated people to vote.
To be considered “educated” enough to vote one should at least be able to answer basic civics questions such as the ones I posed. If you can’t answer these basic questions then you shouldn’t vote! Period.
I don’t think these questions should be enforced by law before stepping into a ballot booth, but I do think it should be a cultural expectation that you can answer them.
And if you don’t want to learn about the government, that’s fine with me, just don’t vote! This way you don’t dilute the vote of more educated people. Some may criticize my suggestion here by saying “But how can you trust other people with deciding your future”, but that’s basically what voting is in of itself. You can either put your faith in a specific politician based on your “gut” feeling, which usually comes down to superficial factors such as how well he smiles or if she shares your same ethnicity, or you can put your faith in other voters who maybe more educated than you to choose the specific politician.
Politicians may say, “It’s your patriotic duty to vote!” In other words, if you are an American citizen and you have a pulse (or even in some cases if you don’t have a pulse) then you should vote! But we both know this moral appeal is hollow because neither party buys Facebook ads targeting and encouraging the other party to vote. In fact, political campaigns actively discourage voting by “going negative” because studies show that attack ads decrease their opponents voter turnout.
And the Founding Fathers didn’t think it was your “patriotic duty” to vote either. The Founding Fathers actually supported a bunch of qualifications to prevent people from voting. In order to vote you had to be a white American male over the age of 21 who owned property. Then even when you voted you still didn’t vote directly for the president,

A high corporate tax rate forces multinational corporations to move their headquarters overseas in order to stay price competitive with other multinational corporations, i.e. a “race to the bottom.”
The U.S. had the highest corporate tax rate in the world until President Trump reduced it to a more competitive level.
Biden has proposed increasing the corporate tax rate again, but his policymakers must be aware that unless the U.S. can force independent nations to get on board with raising their’s too then effectively Biden would be incentivizing the offshoring of even more of America’s economic capacity.
Introducing: The Global Minimum Tax.
The G-7 recently endorsed a global minimum corporate tax rate of 15%.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen called it a return to multilateralism and a sign that countries can tighten the tax net on profitable firms.
Tech companies, in particular, pay relatively little in taxes where they operate. Does this mean Big Tech is against a Global Minimum Tax?
No. Nick Clegg, Facebook’s Vice President of Global Affairs, said the deal is a “step toward certainty for businesses” when it comes to taxes. An Amazon spokesperson called the agreement "a welcome step forward,” and a Google spokesperson said, "We strongly support the work being done to update international tax rules. We hope countries continue to work together to ensure a balanced and durable agreement will be finalized soon.”
When Big Tech supports a government action meant to curb its power then let that serve as a massive red flag.
Objectively, there are several reasons why a Global Minimum Tax Rate is a terrible economic policy…
For one, corporate taxes hurt workers. Studies show that for every $1 generated for the government, 65¢ is taken from workers’ wallets.
“High corporate taxes divert capital away from the U.S. corporate sector and toward noncorporate uses and other countries. They therefore limit investments that would raise the productivity of American workers and would increase real wages. This is the cruel logic of a corporate tax in a global economy—that its burden falls most heavily on workers.”
Secondly, to get the few small nations like Ireland who are beneath the 15% Global Minimum Tax to agree to the hike then the G-7 would have to threaten Ireland with penalties and tariffs to force her compliance. Imperialistic, eh?
Third, if a Global Minimum Tax was implemented, which would take years, and then assuming every nation on Earth agrees to it, then what is stopping nations from giving subsidies and tax exemptions to offset the rise of their corporate tax rate? As Democrats have gained greater control over our education system it has not only become more costly, but less effective. What our education system is good at though is turning children into Democrats.
Many Democrats feel our schools aren’t teaching enough about the “dark spots” of history, which is how they justify their support for CRT (a theory that believes “to fix past discrimination there needs to be current discrimination”.

In reality, American history classes already push a more negative view of our nation’s past, hence why children are less patriotic than ever before. It’s not their parents who are making them unpatriotic because those children who have two active parents are more likely to be patriotic republicans, but it’s the children who are primarily fed, raised, clothed, housed, entertained, and educated by the state or a liberal elite boarding school who tend to be the most anti-American.
Back when I was in high school in 2010, I remember how so much of American history class was focused on how businesses and southerners treated a group badly and then how political activists heroically pressured the federal government to act. The curriculum was also largely anti-war by placing a lot of emphasis on a war’s downsides rather than its benefits; the shaky ground in which it may have been justified rather than counterfactuals.

This then begs the question… would human existence be better if replicants existed?
But if replicant technology was possible then why would we just stop there?Why not make superiors, i.e. machines far more intelligent than humans?
Then with replicants and superiors walking around… what purpose would humans serve if EVERYTHING we can do is done better by a machine?

The truth is we would have no purpose!
Now you may wish to smack me around, splash some water on my face, and tell me to calm down!
But after we each take a deep breath I would ask you a simple question, “Do you believe in god?”
If you do then you could therefore argue that replicating the human spirit is a technological impossibility.
But if you don’t then creating human replicants is just a technological hurdle.
And if it’s a technological hurdle then it’s not a matter of “if” but “when” {cue Blade Runner music}.

And there are a lot of smart people who say sooner rather than later.
At the 2015 Puerto Rico Conference most of the A.I. researchers predicted that we will achieve human-level A.I. before 2060.
You can therefore call me a human supremacist because I believe humans must remain at the top of the pyramid so that we don’t become obsolete at best and lab rats at worst (interesting to consider how our evolutionary mother is the rat, hopefully A.I. wouldn’t treat us similarly).
And to stay on top we must stop technology.
Now you may call me a luddite, meaning someone who opposes technological “progress”.
But then we are ALL luddites after a certain point. Do you think we should advance nuclear technology to the point where a bomb is powerful enough to wipe out an entire city and yet fit nicely inside a briefcase for the low, low cost of $24.95?
And I don’t think we should stop ALL technology, but I do think we need to be more cautious with technological progress in genetics, artificial intelligence, and weaponry.
In these three areas, in particular, I think we will eventually have to reach a stopping point. Maybe not in this century, but maybe the next?
The ultimate question therefore is “When will we be satisfied?”
I think part of being human is to want more and to experience the pain of not having it, which is why I think a bad question would be “How can we stop suffering?”
We should hope future generations experience pain and suffering because it builds character and appreciation, but hopefully not too much suffering.

The radio was her other portal to the outside world.

I often ask people, “What’s your greatest fear?”
I’ve heard answers like, “failure”, “health of my family”, “being unliked”, “being ugly”, "being unsuccessful".
A person’s answer to what their greatest fear is often reveals a lot about their values and the decisions they may make in a given situation.
My greatest fear is regret.
I remember giving a rousing speech before my high school class,
“When we are old and gray, we’ll be sitting in our rocking chair, staring out the window, thinking “Did I do enough?”
After that speech, I lost the class election for which it was for. I did win the following year, but even if I didn’t, my greatest regret would have been to not run at all.
I don’t regret the things I did, such as the time I asked a girl to prom who later dumped me to go with her ex-boyfriend.
I regret the things I didn’t do, like not trying out for the volleyball team or not flirting with more girls because I was awkward and shy.
Upon graduating from college, I could have gotten a safe government job, which I would have if my greatest fear was "poverty", "loneliness", etc... but I felt so passionate about my web app idea, Live to Challenge, that I knew I’d regret not pursuing it, regardless of whether or not it succeeds.
Now you maybe thinking, “Anthony, if regret is your biggest fear why don’t you go snort coke off hookers? YOLO!”
And that is because regret, for me, has nothing to do with hedonism, which a fear of regret can often lead to, but my greatest regret would be to go through life with little impact on the world. In other words…
Insignificance.
So if we take the timeline further, beyond the rocking chair years, beyond death itself, when I’m up in heaven I don’t want to spend all of eternity asking, “What if I did more?”
I don’t want to feel like I didn’t live up to my god-given potential; or while having drinks with Elvis Presley and Abraham Lincoln, that they not know about the good work I did here on Earth.
I don’t know where my deep desire for significance comes from.
I’ve had it ever since I can remember.
Part of it is probably the fact that I was often neglected as a baby and as a child.
Part of it is probably my desire to exceed the expectations of all those who doubted me.
Part of it is probably seeing all the pain my family and I have gone through and not wanting it to pass in vain.
I really don’t know exactly where it comes from, but all I know is that my craving for significance runs deep to my core, it defines much of who I am, and I think that ultimately my insatiable drive is my superpower.

YouTube shouldn’t remove s*xually-provocative videos, but it should age-restrict them in order to protect the minds (and values) of children and young adults.
When a video is age-restricted a user has to sign in and agree they are 18+ and the video won’t be featured on the Trending page or recommended as much to viewers.

Yes, there is some biological basis in our preferences, but if you grab a microscope and inspect the DNA of a 16-year-old girl you will not find a handstand-twerking-gene nor will you find in the DNA of a 16-year-old boy a throw-money-at-that-hoe gene.

But isn’t it interesting how social media is more afraid of moderate conservative viewpoints than they are of consistently feeding young people a narrative of, “you are not popular enough, pretty enough, sexual enough”?
Conservative values threaten those with power because it means they’ll be held to a higher standard: don’t lie, cheat, steal.
If those with power can convince you it’s okay to sometimes lie, cheat, and steal then that gives them free rein to do whatever they want with whomever they want so long as they can convince their target that they like to be used like a disposable paper cup, which isn’t particularly hard to do when you have money and fame in a money-fame driven world.
