This is a work in progress that shows a bit of the work I've been doing while attending The Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago. I've still got some pretty heavy classes coming up so this reel will undergo some big changes (for the better) within the next 6 months. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX_HfKOo4xk
My little brother came home from PA to get his car, a week after moving - hence the title. We sent our folks on a scavenger hunt around Chicago, concluding with front row seats to a Cubs game. While they were out, us kids had our run of the house and I did some flying.
I edited this twice... I don't even know if I like it anymore :P The first time I wrapped on it, my ssd failed... at 97% complete (35 seconds left to go, haha). I might have more cuts in this 2nd edition.
This is a 6 inch wizard clone with 5 inch cyclone props. My rates are too high, and this wasn't my best flying, but I just couldn't help myself. Sometimes editing is super cathartic. Enjoy!

Tiny DRONE goes to SPY on Cute Girl and Kitty!!! lol
I'd love to try a cine-whoop. Maybe I should just get a Runcam split mini? The only thing special about my tiny whoop is its "unicorn" motors, from #NewBeeDrone. Just got a new ROTG02, since my old one went out. This was recorded on my phone.

It doesn't say the Art Institute of Indianapolis, but I used to go to school in the second pyramid. It was hardly even a detour on our rout back from Tennessee, so I got two quick packs in before dinner. There are so many other things I want to do at this spot. Next time I'll go with fresh gear and fly for more than 10 minutes :P Maybe we'll have to go visit The Cousin Dan for part two.

More footy from Crossroads. Felt good about that powerloop, but only got through 2 batteries before having to call it for the day... I need a new VTX... I also need to invest in an actual GoPro mount.
The camera angle obviously needs improvement. Hopefully it doesn't detract too much from the experience.
I'm flying my Eachine Wizard x220 (Cecilia), with a taranis qx7... dal cyclone 5045 props, the TBS triumph antenna, a runcam swift mini, and a GoPro Hero 5 session (with an ND4 filter). The batteries I fly are CNHL 1500 mAh 70C lipos. I use a super cheap furibee VR01 headset and record DVR on my galaxy s6 with a ROTG01 receiver.
...hopefully they don't mute this because of the song... we'll see. I make these videos for me, at the end of the day, so whatever.

I uploaded the sub-one-minute clip for Instagram. Here's my full edit of the DVR from my birthday. The GoPro footage had a smudge under the ND filter. I probably could've still used it, but whatever, the DVR has less Jell-O anyway :P

I'm gonna need new parts for this thing, sooner than later. Moskito 70 is a great name, because this thing is tiny and bloodthirsty! 1103 10,000KV motors with a 2S Lipo - it just wants to go fast. It is not like a tiny whoop, not by a long shot, but it is incredibly addicting... I'm just afraid I'm gonna destroy it by crashing at speed, haha.
IT took me a while to get used to it, but once I stopped trying to muscle the Moskito into precision proximity-flying, and embraced the speed instead, things really started to click.
I thought the music was particularly fitting, as it's from the Furi game soundtrack, and this drone is made by furious fpv :P
Enjoy!

I've been practicing my freestyle and troubleshooting some drone issues at the church, lately. I think I have it all worked out now, but I still need to replace my right stick (gimbal) asap. It's manageable until then.
A funny thing happened while I was flying, I caught the cross light turning on, for the second time. The first time it happened, several months ago, it was even better timing (I've included that old clip, at the very end).

These are the very first couple of flights from our trip to TN. Just getting to know the yard.
I snapped my Wizard in half, the day before we left. Thankfully a friend helped me out and gave me a spare Mach 1 frame, among other things, to fly on vacation. It would've been a very different trip, without a quad. I should've replaced the motors, there wouldn't be so much jello. Part of it's my fault, for not soft mounting the motors and keeping the arms tight.
I had a lot of issues with jello this trip. But my goggles' feed seemed great, and flying all week was a blast. Some of the DVR might be better than the GoPro footage due to ND filter flaws. Sometimes I just feel like DVR reveals fewer of my mistakes, haha.
The spectators towards the end are the neighbors: Charlie, Levi, and Georgie (aka Nolan) - legendary folks.

Brandon took us into Nashville with this up his sleeve. We parked right there, on the street next to the stadium, and I got 4 packs in without any trouble. Most of this is from the last pack. I wish I'd charged a few more. I could've gotten a nice run together, I think. I was still really nervous about losing the drone somewhere out of reach, or crashing it into the pavement. It started pouring shortly after we left.
