Backstory:
A gentleman, without hesitation, accepted a quotation to format a laptop and restore Windows. A few weeks later, he called asking for a "check disk" utility on a USB to repair bad sectors on an older laptop.

I know he can't boot from the USB, run the check disk, repair bad sectors, recover data, and so on, so I invited him to come in. I'll give him a Windows 10 USB and show him how to run the check disk. He didn't come for another 2 weeks or so.

When he did want to come in, I had contracted COVID and wasn't feeling well and told him to hold off for a week or so. He asked if he could help bring food or do shopping for me and whether I needed anything. I felt moved and decided to help him, as I didn't expect this request from a random stranger.

I asked him to bring the laptop and see what could be done. I did give him the USB and realised the state of the laptop. He could not possibly do this, so I asked him to leave it with me and see what I could do.

He later explained that it contained his grandfather's audio recordings of him reading his grandkids' books. He had passed away, and he felt like hearing his voice again. Anyway, here is the video. By the way, he'll never see this video, but at least he'll have all the data on a USB for him to enjoy.
