INFO: In The Court of The Crimson King is regarded as the first prog-rock album ever. It's still popular 50 years after its release, becoming somewhat of a meme during the last year. In this video we take a closer look at the story behind the making of the album. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqTbqIYXKRU

INFO: Mac DeMarco is arguably one of the biggest goofballs in contemporary music. There's a reason why he's best friends with Tyler The Creator. His colorful personality definitely shines through in his music too. This video is for anyone who love to watch documentaries about or featuring Mac DeMarco (Pepperoni Playboy) (Mac DeMarco Tripping Out In Dawson City) etc.

In today's video i review Jidenna's new album The Chief. This is his debut album after releasing a series of singles in 2015 till now. I can't say that this is a recommended album in my view. Jidenna showcases a lot of potential and an eagerness to be creative, but it doesn't add up to a good result...

INFO: Syd Barrett is an odd character in rock music history. He was the co-founder of the legendary rock band Pink Floyd and decided to leave the band early on despite massive success in the UK and neighbouring countries. In parallel with their early success and fame Barrett developed an erratic behaviour that people often link up to his heavy use of LSD. He stopped showing up for gigs, tv performances and overall lost the spark in his eyes. The once creative leader, songwriter and allround charismatic spirit of Pink Floyd turned into a completely different person in just the matter of months. In this video we briefly look at his story as well as his last song with the band "Jugband Blues". The song has an odd similarity structurally to how Syd's music career started, moved forward and ended.

INFO: When The Beatles released their self-titled album aka «The White Album» on 22nd of November 1968, they knew very little about how a certain man would interpret the lyrics on the album. Blackbird, Piggies and Helter Skelter were all songs that Charles Manson interpreted as a grandiose message, telling him about a larger-than-life prophesy. In his eyes, The Beatles were The 4 Horsemen of The Apocalypse written about in the bible. In his ears, Helter Skelter was a song about the fall of man. About a coming race war. The guy was out of his mind, there’s no doubt about that. Inspired by the song, he and
his group set out to initiate the apocalypse, killing 5 people in the process. On the other hand, the song itself had nothing to do with a possible apocalypse. The song was made with the intention of making the heaviest song in contemporary music. But as time
passed by, both the term and the song was preserved in music history.

INFO: John Frusciante is best known for being the guitarist and backing vocalist of Red Hot Chilli Peppers. But he’s been a part of many other creative projects too. He’s collaborated with The Mars Volta and created an extensive solo-career with tons of material that’s still unreleased. Over the years he’s gone through some tough phases like battling drug-addiction, but luckily found his way out of it. He’s now living a reclusive life outside of the public eye. He’s still creating music though, and his legacy is stronger than ever. So in this video i thought it would be interesting to tell his story and remember what we love the most about his music. In this video we're remembering John Frusciante.

INFO: James Douglas Morrison, Better known as Jim Morrison was a poet, songwriter, and probably best known for being the distinctive voice of The Doors, one of the most beloved bands of the 60s and 70s. But it wasn’t just the poetry and the music Morrison made with his band that made him stand out. He also had a wild personality, an intense stage presence and outrageous lifestyle. Throughout his entire life, he had somewhat of an obsession for death and personal reinvention and discovery. This came out as vulgar and gloomy themes and disturbing characters in his lyrics. Some would argue that these characters represented Morrison’s alter-egos. Segments of his self-sabotaging behaviour as he dealt with the sudden fame and acceptance. In this video we’ll examine these characters in order to understand Jim Morrison’s personality even better.
