There was a time when the idea of a global religion or a global religious union was absurd. No one could possibly get all the diverse faiths of humanity to unite under a common banner or movement or creed, there's to much bad blood. Too much doctrine. They're to different But if this view was consensus among geo-political experts, the late Israeli President Shimon Peres could not be count amongst their number. Peres believed strongly that a global union of faiths, a second United Nations for Religions, was not only possible, but just right around the metaphorical corner. He knew exactly whom he'd trust to lead; on Thursday, September 4th, 2014 Peres met with Vatican Potentate Pope Francis so declare that Francis could head this union. Perhaps uncoincidentally, just 13 days passed, and the first "World Alliance of Religions for Peace" or WARP Summit, was held over 3 days in Seoul, South Korea, and only the most obscure faiths were without representation. Well them, and the Protestant Christians. But Protestants and the Orthodox had long had alliance already in the form of the World Council of Churches, a international super-union comprised of 560,000,000 Christians and 349 separate denominations. The Catholic Church, which did attend the WARP Summit, was not, and is not, an official member. But 4 years would pass, and the WCC would come together to celebrate 70 years of existence. On June 21st, 2018, the self-proclaimed vicar of JESUS, Our Lord, would celebrate with them, with a call to Mass, and a call for unity.
