Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters Episode 41 - That Girl from America (English Dub w. Japanese OST)
This episode wasn't nearly as bad as Episode 25 since a lot of it was pretty faithful for the most part. Just removed extra lines that weren't needed and try to make the script more in-line with the Japanese version that includes our favorite American Champion, Rebecca Hawkins/Hopkins. Since the English Dub deaged her I reverse that decision so that she's 12 like in the original and to put focus on the fact that she's the "American Champion". Since Rebecca didn't have an A.I. voice on FakeYou I decided to use Kerry Willaim's Tuff voice from the Kirby franchise. It's not as believable since Rebecca and Tuff sound nothing alike, but it's better than nothing. This episode is also the first of it's kind where I took some liberty with the script since certain words doesn't sound right with the FakeYou voices like "U.S.", but with liberties come Easter Eggs and there's a certain Easter Egg I inserted in the episode if you read the English Yugioh Manga by Viz Media. This episode also started the Duelist Kingdom filters before we get into Battle City so it has a unique section to replace the panning shot of Pegasus in the opening which I had to incorporate into Studio Spider's English Opening.
But yeah, that's basically it. This is a two-parter so by the time of this upload I'll be already getting set to do Episode 42 and upload it next weekend at the latest.
Update: Out of every episode I've done for the past three weeks, this one saw the most changes since I revise most of the script to match the original, add back in some dub lines that didn't need to get cut, use some better Duel Links lines for Yugi, and translate some Japanese text into English minus the Domino Hospital sign and the Kame Game Shop because of their FOV. I also had to use more of Kaori Tagami's Rebecca since some of Kerry William's Rebecca lines didn't make it through X-Minus Pro and I readjusted the Translated opening with the unique footage used for this episode and episode 42 since they use footage from episode prior for the opening to replace Pegasus and the Millennium Eye.
Since it's been one year since I started doing Uncut Anime dubs I figure the best way to celebrate is by revisiting a series that is near and dear to my heart... Pokemon. But this time it contains the original score rather than a hybrid of Dub and Japanese music.
I used dub footage in two instances: The first is the Episode Card and the other is for the crowd shot outside of Oak's lab since TAJ Production localized the sign into English. Originally I was going to keep Pidgey and Spearow's dub voice but X-Minus screwed a lot of them and a friend of mine recommended I keep the original voice for both Pokemon since the dub would later keep both Japanese voices anyways. Plus, it help make this process a little faster since all the Pokemon have their Japanese voices. This was also one of the few Indigo episodes to have Pikachu voiced by Rachel Lillas since Ikue Ōtani's voice was unsavageable in the original dub, but since we're using the Japanese version as a base that isn't a problem.
I also had to re-rip two lines from Veronica Taylor in Vocal Remover since X-Minus screw them up. I also removed one line from the dub since I felt the scene was strong enough without it and readjusted Ash's line during the Episode Card and the Narrator to timed them up with their Japanese counterpart.

Here is the last of the 7 episodes I planned on making. While this series was fun, all good things must come to an end... or is it?
I wanted to make this a special episode by making a proper uncut dub, that include the original music and silent moments. It's crazy how things changed over the last 3 or 4 months. From different editors to different techniques I feel this is my most ambitious project ever. And with that, I wanna say I'm going to remastered the first six episodes of the Uncut Dub to give them the same treatment as this one. Not sure what I'll do with the originals, but they'll likely be removed.
Edit: Updated this one to give it the same quality as Episodes 1-6
I face the same problem here as I did Episode 1 involving the sign to Cerulean City so I gave up after awhile. I also couldn't really save any Japanese music or many silent moment since the Clefairy were saying their English and Japanese name in both dubs.

Wanted to do a BBT clip after Den Off-Topic did his and decided to gun for Yugi's turn.
I had to AI some of Yugi's line to make it closer to the original script and use Duel Links line for Yugi, Yusei and Paradox. And that's it.

This was a recording a did back for Sage 2017 with the than release Sonic Advance Revamped. It was meant to be uploaded back in 2017 on Youtube but I forgot to do so but since Odysee is a new start for me why not start it off with a recording I never uploaded before.
Oh wow, my first YouTube video in months that haven't been blocked worldwide and is not a Yu-Gi-Oh! video. I expect engagement to be very low. /s
On a serious note, I been fooling around with Google Translate's image translator and I been using it for DM episode 46 and 47 and this is the first time I did an opening using it. After hearing Mark De Groot's rendition of We Gotta Power, I had to do this. I had to slice the music a bit so that it lined up with the original and I say it came out good there. The credits were checked using the information from Anime News Network to avoid errors or mistranslations. Unlike with my other stuff, I wanted it to be as if Funimation had done it. So the words and fonts don't have any borders on them.
I also tried to find the best version that have proper color correction and wasn't zoomed in and or blown out like the Orange Bricks release. I'm thinking of doing one for the Original Dragon Ball as well, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Thankfully unlike Episode 132, the episode was largely faithful to the original script. Just change a few things like Joey's dream being a flashback like it should be and Kaiba's view on the past.

I'm still on break from Yugioh, but I figure to do this to show ya boi is growing up. After months of hunting I FINALLY found some RAW torrents of the Japanese version so rip subtitles. :P Now the picture and audio quality are a lot clearer and better than before and I think Vocal Remover likes it too.
Studio Spider actually did this scene and it was one of my personal favorites from him which he didn't reupload unfortunately. And while I still have his version with the English Cards and texts, I didn't wanna reupload his version out of respect and actually wanted to do my own thing with this which result in me actually going beyond what he did. XD
I'll cover what I changed from him first. For starter I change some of Yami Yugi's lines to closely match the Japanese script, even added a "My Turn" to where Japanese Yugi said it. I also adjusted the time for Yugi and Mai to match with their Japanese counterparts. The second is I restored some monster sounds since SS kept the sound of the monsters from the dub, this includes the Harpie Lady Sisters, Gaia, and Kuriboh. This section is small since it's pretty minor changes and a lot of it is the same as his.
Now for all the pre-BLS stuff, I change some of Mai and Yami's lines to match the original script, removed unneeded dialogue, and alter Yami's lines so that it match the story of the original where Yugi and Yami are aware of each other's presents, but never interacted with each other until the duel with Pegasus.
With this clip it should give away my plans for the future involving these. I'm going to remastered all my Uncut Dub episodes to give them the same level of quality as this. As for their respective clips, I'm not 100% sure on them. Likely remake them too since the voices won't get touch for the most part.

Posted this here because Konami is very restrictive when it comes to Yugioh 5ds content on Youtube. I thought this would be harder since, unlike Duel Monsters, 4kids took a lot of liberties which you can see here. So there's too much to discuss I'll sum it down for ya.
- A lot of the trash talking and Jack talking about him lying to Yusei just to get his Duel Runner and Stardust Dragon was removed.
- The English dub for some reason change the part of the script where Yusei activated Quillbot Hedgehog's effect. While the English dub is correct in saying what Junk Synchron's effect is, Yusei didn't use Junk Synchron to bring back Quillbot Hedgehog, he used Quillbolt Hedgehog's own effect to bring it back. So I used Quillbolt Hedgehog's line from Duel Links to make up for it.
- The English dub of the first season of 5ds didn't use ANY of the Synchro Chants. They were included in Season 2, but not all monsters got them. So for Yusei and Jack, I just use the Synchro Chants from Duel Links. And since Red Dragon Archfiend doesn't have an accurate version of Jack's synchro chant from the Japanese version I combine both Red Dragon Archfiend's and Crimson Blader's Synchro Chants to match the lip flips. I didn't know RDA had two Synchro Chants in Season 2, not like I would've used them.
- Unnecessary dialogue.
I also figure since Yusei and Jack were using the same voice as some characters from the original series I thought I could take advantage of that. It worked really well for Yusei, not so well for Jack. I used Bakura and Yami Bakura's voice for him, but Ted Lewis, who voices all of them, used a different pitch, tone, and speech pattern to the Bakuras so Bandit Keith would've been prefect, unfortunately he didn't have an AI generated voice so I try to avoid changing Jack's line as possible unless he had some lines in Duel Links.
