In this video we cover how to simplify a complex fraction. We use our prime factorization of the numerator and the denominator to cancel out numbers and simplify this fraction. We also use the reciprocal property to flip the second fraction to simplify the fraction. In this video we learn how to Add Whole Numbers using the traditional method. We add 21,375+861+8,596. The steps we use to add whole numbers are
1) Write the numbers so each place value lines up vertically.
2) Add the digits in each place value. Work from right to left starting with the ones place. If a sum in a place value is more than 9 carry to the next place value.
3) Continue adding each place value from right to left, adding each place value and carrying if needed.
