Nação Zumbi (formerly Chico Science & Nação Zumbi) is a Brazilian band formed by Chico Science. They have been hailed as one of the most important groups to come out of the manguebeat movement in the 1990s.
In their songs they experiment with mixing of rock, punk, funk, hip hop, soul, Pernambuco's regional rhythms and Brazilian traditional music, with heavy use of percussion instruments.
The Abyssinians are a Jamaican roots reggae group, famous for their close harmonies and promotion of the Rastafari movement in their lyrics. The vocal trio was originally formed in 1968 by Bernard Collins and Donald Manning. Their first song was "Satta Massagana", which was strongly influenced by Carlton Manning's "Happy Land". "Satta Massagana" is a Rastafarian hymn sung partly in the Ethiopian Amharic language.
They recruited a third vocalist, who was still at school and often unable to attend rehearsals; he was soon replaced by Donald's brother Lynford Manning, who like Donald had previously been a member of their brother Carlton Manning's group Carlton and The Shoes.
In 1971, the group purchased the master tapes from Dodd for £90 and released it on their own Clinch label, the single becoming a massive success, prompting Dodd to release his own instrumental and deejay versions.
The original line-up reunited in 1998 and went on to record new material. The album "Abyssinians & Friends Tree of Satta vol. 1" was released in 2003.

Conrado Vieira, famous by his stage name Shawlin, and currently known as Cachorro Magro, is a Brazilian rapper, singer, songwriter and producer.
He began his career at 15 when he recorded his first song, "Aliança", which was included in the collection Zoeira Hip Hop in 1999. He joined the collective Quinto Andar (the first Brazilian musical phenomenon on the Internet), was producer and featured on the album "Piratão", released in 2005, and was the first Brazilian rapper to have a website on the Internet. Shortly before, he released the solo EP "E a Vida Continua".
In 2007, with the end of the collective Quinto Andar, he released his debut album, entitled "Ruas Vazias", which had the participation of Sam the Kid, rapper from Portugal, in the song "Amigos".
Ini Kamoze is a Jamaican reggae artist who began his career in the early 1980s and rose to prominence in 1994 with the signature song "Here Comes the Hotstepper".
He made his first single, "World Affairs", in 1981. Kamoze then released a 12-inch single "Trouble You A Trouble Me"/"General" in 1983.
The success of the single sparked an intense bidding war with several major labels hoping to sign him. Kamoze signed a seven-album deal with Elektra Records in November 1994.

O Rappa was a Brazilian reggae/rock band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Combining many styles such as rock, reggae, funk, hip hop and samba, Many of O Rappa's songs contain sharp protests against the social problems in Brazil and the members of the band themselves are supporters of numerous social projects.
In 1993, reggae artist Papa Winnie came to Brazil but had no band to play shows with him. He immediately picked four people: Nelson Meirelles, Marcelo Lobato, Alexandre Menezes and Marcelo Yuka as the band. After Papa Winnie's shows, the four decided to stay together picking Falcão as the 5th member and vocalist.

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for more than a decade.
Slipknot is well known for its attention-grabbing image, aggressive style of music, and energetic and chaotic live shows. . In early 2001, the band began recording the second album at Sound City and Sound Image studios in Los Angeles.
Recording of their second album ended in February 2001 and the band embarked on their Iowa World Tour. Entitled Iowa, Slipknot's second album—released on August 2001—peaked at number three on the Billboard charts and at number one in the UK.
