Installing Windows 11 on my main PC updating from Windows 10 to Windows 11 using Windows 11 Installation Assistant to update and keep all user files and installed programs. It's just like any other Windows update. Tool worked perfectly. User data not lost. Installed programs still work the same. Windows 11 is activated automatically after install. Major changes are in: Start menu changed a lot. Taskbar is more restricted and I don't like that. Icons in taskbar are more refined and nice animations when opening programs or apps are showing progress on the icon itself. Rounded corners yeah! Slow windows explorer for some reason - should be fixed if not already fixed. The sounds are nice. More intrusive: Microsoft pushing its cloud services like office and even Teams Chat - strange they are even allowed to do this. Widgets in start menu are the new Internet Explorer/Edge - disabled them. One drive says hello as usual. Overall it's good progress from Windows 11 after a heavy cleanup of the Windows 11 bloatware. Still not finished cleaning up but it's more bearable now. Oh and the right click context menu has a strange show more feature instead of showing the real context menu, it shows a light version of it first - one more click for some tasks. There is no way to create a folder in Windows explorer with 1 click like before, it's 2 clicks now and a mouse pointer looking for the new folder action. I'm sure there is a keyboard shortcut for that but I'm too lazy to find it... probably will soon. My CPU is AMD and AMD CPUs have a slowdown problem on Windows 11 so if you play games or use time critical applications, wait until Microsoft and AMD will issue a patch to solve the problem. My Windows Explorer slowness might come from that. When available, it will be installed just like any other updates. Overall I like it! SUBSCRIBE and CLICK the BELL to be notified.
