With a flying bed by our side, what can go wrong? Our next stop takes us to Swanstone in the real world. It seems there's a problem right here. A very big one. Turns out the King is very preoccupied. Whatever it is, we're going to see for ourselves. So we talk to the king. It seems that a princess is trapped within a strange mirror. Turns out we have something he needs: Ra's Mirror. We head for the mirror and use it. It shows a sad woman captured by a terrifying sorcerer. Returning upstairs, the king says that we need to head for Spiegelspire. It seems that the evil sorcerer is Spiegel and we need to take him down. We head for Spiegelspire, in the dream world ofc ourse. To get inside we need to use the Peep spell. Once we do that, we fight our way to reach the top and confront Spiegel. This guy wants that woman we saw to be his wife and she says no. So she has her trapped and this means we got to teach this sap a lesson. Magic like Sap will not work so focus on buffing your party and then deliver pure, unadulterated offense. Not to mention he has some nasty spells that can really drive you up a wall. If things get rough, use healing. He'll also summon two low djinks. They aren't difficult. Once they are dealt with, the spell should be broken. Return back to Spellstone and talk to the king. With Spiegel no more, the King uses his magic to free the princess from her prison. King Ludwig offers the princess Miralda his hand in marriage and she accepts. A happy ending indeed. We also get our hands on the Floodgate Key. This leads us to our next stop: Pescado. Turns out something's amiss. Very amiss. So we investigate. We find that someone is asking for fish. The guy, Rod notices us and we skedaddle. What follows is a little bit of tailing. We follow him through a cave and it ultimately leads us to Rod meeting someone... a mermaid. He asks if we're after the mermaid and we say no. Rod has feelings for Unda but he wants her to return home. Rod wants Unda to return home but she seems happy. He says otherwise and wants us to do the only right thing. Thankfully we have a ship that can take her home. Despite her protests, Rod insists that she heads home. But it's here we learn of a revelation. Midna is true royalty. She's the Twilight Princess. Once arrived, we finally learn that Zant was a servant to Midna and her family. But then upon meeting Ganondorf, he obtained the power needed to overthrow Midna and take her kingdom by force. This has Midna reduced to her Imp form and it ultimately leads to the events of Twilight Princess. Now we're coming full circle here. The Palace of Twilight is split into two objectives. The first is that we must seek out two orbs of light and bring them to the center. Once you do that, the light from the realm will enhance the Master Sword. With this newfound power, we can head further and it's a long way up. I mean that. A very long way. At the top, we face off against Zant himself and this one is a multi-phase. It has you facing him at locations you previously visited in this game. Rely on your skills and gear to deal with him. Eventually you'll face Zant in the last fight and he's insane. Only attack when he tires out cause he'll spin around to strike you. Regardless be on your guard. After the fight, Zant is beaten but Midna hasn't changed. Whereas Zant taunts Midna over her stature, she then gets pissed and unleashes the Fused Shadow to wipe him out. She then learns that she only used a fraction of that power. Crazy. With Zant finally defeated, they now have to hurry and save Zelda. But we'll take a detour. Compared to the first game, this one is a massive improvement. Everything about the game is improved in every way. However it's a lot more challenging. To get to the true ending, you need to find all the DK Coins and all the Kremkoins. Finding them all are needed especially if you want to access the hidden world and put your skills to the test.
