Odysee Comment of the Week for 9 Jan through 15 Jan 2022
@HammerKnife:4 commented on the VeGue VM50 USB Condenser Microphone that I recently reviewed. Yes, indeed, this microphone sounds good for the price! https://odysee.com/@ThriftyAV:0/condenser-mic-sound%2C-usb-convenience!:c?r=CQAuZAsRwCAEyMmmt8RuEZ44WhjxiKfx
Original Released as an unlisted YouTube video for Patrons, I am now making this available for 1 LBC to LBRY supporters.
My publicly posted "Willys Jeep Ride" video was a complete re-shoot. Different intro, different Jeep route, and a slightly different concept.
Instead of the Jeep ride being a single continuous shot to showcase the image stabilization of the action cam, I originally intended to have B-roll cutaways more like what you see here. There are some problems with the footage I used here, namely AUDIO, but with some voice-over work, a few nat sounds from my B-roll camera, and a music bed, the footage is certainly salvageable! Thank you for being a Patron, Enjoy!
All three music tracks are Nat Keefe & Hot Buttered Rum
1. Billy in the Lowground
2. St. Anne's Reel
3. Cats Searching for the Truth
These tracks were sourced from the YouTube Audio Library.
I set up a Stealth Cam G30 at a feeder on my family's property in hopes of catching some video of turkeys... What I caught on camera was... well... watch and see!
A lot of bloopers can accumulate over a year, and the 3rd year of ThriftyAV was no exception! This is the "longer" version of the blooper reel for supporters willing to contribute 1LBC to this channel. Compared to the "free" version, this has over 4 extra minutes of funny goofs and mistakes that happened while shooting ThriftyAV content over the past year. The shorter "free" version will go live on Friday 6/24.
I put a small LBC price on this vid, as it is also being shared as bonus footage for supports on Patreon, Subscribestar, and YT channel members. However, 1 LBC isn't too expensive! Enjoy.
Hello Supporters on Odysee! The following is an "extended" version specifically for channel supporters. Thank you for the LBC contribution!

I recorded two mornings in a row with the Campark V30 set on a tripod, with the frame interval set at 0.5 seconds. This camera creates a 30fps file in time lapse mode, so this creates a 15x effect.
I then adjust the time lapse further in post production, simulating what several of the 9 possible time lapse frame intervals would look like.
Looking across the field in early March was inspiring to me. I'm pretty happy with the results I got with this experiment, so I wanted to share it.

This record is designed for Halloween fun - designed to make the chills run up your spine, and small children climb to the safety of their parents laps. Turn the record on and the lights out, then prepare for a visit to a haunted house, complete with banging shutters, eerie screams, the hoot of an owl, the squall of a cat, the growl of a dog, scraping chains, stealthy footsteps, howling winds, rain on the window pane, maniacal laughter, a witch's screech, moans and groans. "Sounds to Make You Shiver" is an ideal record to play on Halloween night within earshot of the front door - then you'll throw a little reverse fright into the tricks-or-treat gangs of small fry in their sheets and masks. "Sounds to make you Shiver" is an extra kick for halloween parties and halloween plays. The "Visit to a Haunted House" side is designed primarily for general scaring. The reverse side is for specific uses. There are separate bands of specialized sound effects, including howling wind, banging shutters, creaking doors, chains and footsteps

ThriftyAV here... I normally stick to A/V topics, but today I have a rant about LBRY. I've been on this platform for a month now as part of the YouTube partnership program, and my experience here as a new LBRY user has been mixed.
Not only am having difficulty finding an audience for my own channel, it's been a challenge finding content that I want to watch, but I know it's there. It just isn't being served to me. The only way I have been finding it is through some KEYWORD guessing with the SEARCH feature.
The problem new channels are having with DISCOVERY are directly related to the design of the HOME screen. Let's take a look.
There are FOUR ROWS of Following. No major complaints aside from viewed videos staying on it.
Next up is top content for today, in order from biggest to largest. No small or niche channels here.
Next is the topical section about 2020 protests. If I want this I can search for it. Who is deciding what topics get special treatment? I
Next is Trending, which has a lot of the same videos as "top content". So big channels get their vids listed TWICE.
The next two sections are self promotion, LBRYCast and LBRY. I can subscribe to these if I want this.
No section of "Suggested", No "NEW CHANNEL SHOWCASE". A small or niche channel will not show up AT ALL in browse. If a channel doesn't have the tokens to promote, they won't show up, and therefore cannot earn the tokens to promote their channel.
Part of the LBRY mission statement is access. Access means users can find what they want, and right now that is not easy.
In this video, I unbox and assemble an Onn Full Motion 13-27" Full-Motion Dual Monitor Mount, UPC 681131085854 from Walmart.
The box says:

Slide-on VESA plates for easy and safe monitor connection.
Cable management clips on arms and center pole.
Item dimensions:
33 in W x 4 in D x 21 in H
(83.8 cm W x 10.2 cm D x 53.3 cm H)
Weight: 6.77 lbs (3.1 kg)
Weight Capacity 17.6 lbs (8 kg) per arm.
