Chris Claremont is a NY Times best-selling author, has been awarded the prestigious Kellogg Award in Arts and Letters by Bard College, and was inducted into the Will Eisner Comics Industry Awards Hall of Fame. His work has won multiple awards in France, Spain, and England.
His papers are collected in the Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Columbia University, New York. He has authored nine novels, spoken at Princeton, MIT, U Penn and Columbia University, and appeared on television in the US and abroad.
Chris’s initial unbroken 17-year run on "The Uncanny X-Men" is the stuff of industry legend -- taking a lackluster series and transforming it into the best-selling title in the industry -- and culminated in the launch of a new title, "X-Men"...the first issue of which sold a record-shattering 7.6 million copies.
No one has come close to breaking this record.
In addition to his indelible work on Marvel Comic’s "X-Men series" -- where he created classic characters such as Legion, The New Mutants, Rogue, Gambit, Sabretooth, Kitty Pryde, and the White Queen, amongst many others -- he has also written seminal characters such as Batman and Superman.

Chuck Dixon is the most prolific scripter in the history of comic books, with well over 40,000 pages of comics in publication.
His work on both Batman and the "Punisher" are considered seminal to those franchises. He contributed the majority of the writing done on the legendary 'Knightfall' event for the Batman comic, which formed the basis for Christopher Nolan’s "Dark Knight" trilogy (he also co-created the iconic villain Bane, with Graham Nolan), and is also the co-creator of the Birds of Prey comic series with Jordan B. Gorfinkel.
Characters he’s created for both DC and Marvel have appeared repeatedly in movies, television, and games and his adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s "The Hobbit" remains an international bestseller thirty years after its first publication.
Chuck is also known worldwide, with comics written specifically for the European and Indian markets.
He remains a major player in the growing world of independent comics, with dozens of new titles produced in recent years, and has written more than thirty novels (including his popular "Levon Cade" series and his recent "Conan the Barbarian" novel).

Jayanta Bhattacharya is a Professor of Medicine at Stanford University. He is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economics Research, a senior fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, and at the Stanford Freeman Spogli Institute. He holds courtesy appointments as Professor in Economics and in Health Research and Policy. He directs the Stanford Center on the Demography of Health and Aging.
Dr. Bhattacharya’s research focuses on the economics of health care around the world with a particular emphasis on the health and well-being of vulnerable populations. Dr. Bhattacharya’s peer-reviewed research has been published in economics, statistics, legal, medical, public health, and health policy journals. He holds an MD and PhD in economics from Stanford University.
Along with doctors Sunetra Gupta and Martin Kulldorf (who we saw in CDP Episode 009), Dr. Bhattacharya is one of the co-authors of The Great Barrington Declaration, and has been a staunch opponent of lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic.
