Every once in a while, something that is said to be completely gone has a way of finding it's path back into the spotlight and ends up leaving the taboo category of lost media. Such was the case with Meat Boy Handheld the other day.. A parody game released by edmund and Tommy many years back to poke fun at bad ports of videogames, such as those on the tiger electronics series of systems. Animation in this was non-existent and if you're old enough to remember those McDonalds sonic games that came with happy meals you'll know exactly what this is. For years on end this was completely lost to time, with even Tommy and Edmund confirming that neither of them had a digital copy. The person who provided the file for the game wishes to remain annoymous but I think we can all agree they are truly.. A hero at heart. Outside of lost media, lets turn to our old friend Mewgenics. Edmund recently put out a tweet embracing color for the upcoming game, saying that while he likes the black and white aesthetic using a little bit of color does help them a ton. This is unsurprising, using color is great especially when designing a UI for something like a turn based game since you can draw the players eye to certain things and it helps separate some menu elements from eachother, since the colors are pretty muted it does look like the original style will remain in tact so I wouldn't worry about anything being compromised here. While the wait may be long for the upcoming funny cat game, just remember that every second that passes brings us closer to the release.. And knowing that.. Should help you feel better.. Right now.. Recently the team behind the giant Isaac Mod fiend folio have put out another update for the dozens of new enemies that are being added to the already massive roster.. The most recent being drill bit! A creature that resides in the mines, drilling into the ground before sending out a group of projectiles to attack the player.. Every single time I see the custom assets for this game I am reminded of the level of professionalism and artistic talent that goes into not only making good art, but art that replicates the base games style. There's also going to be a overhaul of the games soundtrack so that the atmosphere of the entire title is changed to suite the additions the team is adding. OneShot Fading Memory is a sequel to the acclaimed indie title OneShot. OneShot is often heralded as an underrated RPG Maker darling that needs more attention than it already has. Despite that sentiment though there is actually a lot of fan projects and activity surrounding the game as is. There are not 1, but 2 sequels to the game that have their own page on Steam.
