Rocket chimney walls are now in place. Steam turbines for heat deletion are mostly done just need to remove some of the automation used to fill the liquids. Also added in four steam rockets as it was easy to do and preheats the chimney, this should allow me to get the steam turbines configured before I throw in the insane heat of hydrogen rockets at it. This project is taking many videos I know but it's just to big to do quickly. I hope the end result will be worth it. Tribal raids get bigger, a lot bigger. The corpse burning stockpile has to be enlarged. The base is getting bigger we are installing an improved kill box, but we are going to need more steel. Also we need more plasteel, also we need more everything. I'm even starting to run a bit low on meat. That might be due to the toxic fog and volcanic winter though. When it comes to capturing enemies does the machine pistol have an advantage.... not really as far as I can see. Looks to be random if the enemies end up dead or incapacitated. When it comes to training shooting skill, things are a little un-intuitive. All weapons generate the same about of exp for time spent shooting. That means their is no difference between using an auto pistol or a sniper rifle for exp gain. So it's just a case of figuring out which gun can miss the most so you can farm the most exp. Winner is the awful Sniper rifle with the bolt action being a close second. Auto pistol gets an Honorable mention. We can safely say that Rail guns are OP. You can shred most enemies without them returning fire at all. With only 100 ish crew we have levelled this sector. The hard part was storing all the resulting ship parts. I think our next railgun iteration is going to be way oversized. Put in a big cooling loop all over the base to hopefully prevent future scaldings. Then we get started on a viewers suggested volcanic geothermal desalinator. Considering I never built one before it feels like we muddle through. We anticipate a lot of potential problems and we should hopefully manage to avoid any big fallout from potential failures. We now have clean water for our main base with built in cooling. Also our SPOM is now on the desalinated water so lots of progress. Next up I want to move the hydrogen generators and ensure our power production is rock solid. Then start on Ethanol. It takes a while to get these little bases up and running. You don't realize just how much infrastructure goes into place to make a sustainable colony. Water, O2, Heat management, food, cooking, CO2 removal and all the room bonuses. Never mind the nat gas power brick we have to strap to all of them. Still it's a fun challenge, different recreation building and different food on every planet is the hope.
