An old History channel documentary about German Small Arms in World War 2 Most German small arms used in WW2 were ahead of their time and often outclassed the equivalents the allies had to offer, except probably for semi-automatic rifles like the M1 Garand and SVT-40. Since small arms technology hasn't changed particularly much since WW2, this documentary still gives a great overview of the different types of small arms.
