The Title of the song and it's time signature. A project from 2019 that said "Master me" and I replied with "No." So I reworked it. I fleshed out it a bit with some fun notes and improv. Adding a drum kit part was hard, and I should be getting lessons to play a real one soon!
Take note that micro-tonal lick where the Bass walks up on occasion. That requires some fun string bending to get that right. I wanted to keep ascending and not stay on a single note, and the placement of the start of that lick was too good to change, so it's F# G G1/2# Ab.
I forgot what school project that was at the university. Glad I found it while cleaning my computer.
Hope you enjoy synthy stuff!

Take a venture and question why Alto 1 didn't record to my camera device. Made for 8 trombones- 1 Sop, 2 Altos, 2 Tenors, and 3 Bass Trombones. Some parts were mimed in the making of this video, but I guarantee you I played every part.
To composers, when you write for mutes, remember to account for the space before and AFTER the needed mute. Or you might end up with some humorous situations where you throw the mute out to continue playing.
To iMovie, I hope you get banished to the shadow realm.

The movie script took 3 months of refining, (not this teaser thing.) so, it'll be a big one.
Set day of release, should I work the entire way solo... August 2025...
One of my longer projects ill be working on. Here's a teaser. There's no pay, and I'm not sure what I could have you do to help...

Wanna hear just the Trombones? https://youtu.be/r_WY1213V-w
I bid thanks to the videogame that got me into soundtracks... This game wouldn't have done so great without it. Thank you Tom Salta, you are the reason I was inspired to arrange this. May this tickle your insides, as I also am aware this was the version that sounded too heroic for the campaign itself. But hey, it made a wonderful tune to arrange trombones for.
Another reason I made this was to further progress my improvative percussion chops, and also to experiment with energy of dynamics. Why does it sound SO MUCH BETTER when you belt out notes and let the horn resonate rather than just playing the notes precisely in tune? The answer is Timbre.
Anyways, enjoy!
If you're reading this, Hi Philip!

So, I don't own the song. I found it on youtube and thought
"hmm, no one's transcribed this solo yet..." so I took it upon myself to handwrite the transcription because using Finale notepad or Garageband for clicking out every note would make me hang myself.
I got my sheet music stuff at www.blanksheetmusic.net
I got the youtube video I transcribed here. Go check it out!

Thanks to NICKELJAZZ for uploading the quintet.
This falls under education and ear training. If there's any problems with the transposition, video editing skills, etc, leave me a nasty little comment :P OTHERWISE ENJOY!!!!
Dan Barrett (trombone)
Frank Roberscheuten (sax)
Dave Blenkhorn (guitar)
Sebastien Girardot (bass)
Guillaume Nouaux (drums)

I wanted to hear the trumpet solo in the key I was to play it in, but to my horror, I couldn't find a single video with the song in concert Ab. Here's to providing with those a pitch shifted version, especially for those who struggle with transposition from ear to sight with a transposed instrument. And here's to a happy Veteran's day on the 11th!

This... Arrangement... Hurt my soul... not gonna lie... I tried a bunch of different editing schemas throughout the project that DID NOT WORK in the long run. I think I bit more off than I could chew the whole nine yards with this recording, but this is a good thing because I have learned way too much, having spent 6 hours recording and 3 days trying to mix and edit the work out...It goes to show, !!!!!bad arranging makes editing and mixing a nightmare!!!! Please, check and make sure the arrangement is viable before taking the time to record it. you'll thank me and spare a few days of your life for later.
I think the sweetspot is between 8-12 trombones for arranging. Generally, 1 Bass for every 6 tenor, one alto after 7, and two altos after 11. This is theorized for now.
And since when did Freddie Mercury have a movie? Perhaps I need to go see that. Cheers!

Hello, I'm finally out of Hell from school. Here's to one of many soon to be... Improper uploads.
Little bit about this, I wanted to bend an approach to lofi without the vinyl crackle. That s**t hurts my ears. Take note, the wonky triplets on a soft hihat, and the division of 3 + 5 on the kick. Wonky as heffle. Also, the majority of this song conssted of midi, so I added a tempo change throughout the piece. EXTRA WONKY.
Synths used:
MPS, Velvet, Iris 2, and Loudmax.
Single sketch made with a pen.
