I remember liking this way more than I did playing for this recording. I think that, for me, it must have been the graphics and animation convincing me that I had a better outlook on it than it deserved. Maybe it deserves more praise, but it just doesn't feel all that fun to play. It plays like a regular old fighting game with nothing special. I do know I'm missing out on some under-the-hood features like pulling off literally any super, but still...the punch to punch action just doesn't feel fun or fluid to me. I could go back to Garou any day, but I wouldn't come back to this. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPo_h2GnuFs
Aside from the weird gameplay because of the need to go upside down, it's actually not bad and can get kind of addictive.

What exactly does this have to do with time? Maybe just a cool name. Not nearly as cool to play. Too many limitations and there were more exciting shooters in 1987. But it's right on that border where speed and maneuverability started taking over from stiffer shooters like Xevious.

It's OK. Can't really complain. I was doing a comparison between the first and last FIFA releases on the GBA and I was surprised just how much changed. I truly expected a series of clones, but there was a definite difference. This visual style reminds me of the DKC look that many companies were going for that, due to the low res and laziness of it all, hideously backfired. Something about canned animations, no matter how smooth, look terrible and there's a lot of those games on the GBA. This doesn't bother me too much, though. It's pretty cool to see a full spread of leagues on a handheld, too.

This was the tiebreaker shooter of the day for me, and thankfully, it broke the tie in a positive way. It feels like a really good comfort anime and, for me, it's one of the more fun shooters out of any game on this playlist. It's accessible, its difficulty ramps just right, you're not screwed if you lose your power ups, and it's not difficult to follow despite a lot happening on the screen. Great game.

A very early title that is, unfortunately, two player only. If I get a player 2, I'll be sure to redo this one and maybe add Combat while I'm at it. I could at least somewhat simulate a 2 player experience by simply shooting the enemy to get them to move automatically.
I don't know where the slot racing comes from other than at a very basic level. They could have called it Sausage Duel and it would have made a LOT more sense.

It's better than the 2600 game, but it kind of had to be considering the already low bar. It's lacking the look, but it at least mostly plays like it should. I couldn't complain if I had this.

If only I had realized before playing that the camera controls involve a combination of R + D-Pad, then I probably would have enjoyed this a lot more. I tried everything except that, and it was my only complaint the entire time...so I guess there's nothing left to do but praise it.
It's not Ocarina and it's not Mario 64, but it's very fun adventure that slots somewhere in between. It's even better than you'd expect from the sequel (at least to English speakers) to the SNES game. The music is pretty much perfect, the controls have their hitches but you're only punished with a little bit of wasted time when it happens, and the graphics are very well done. Really, this belongs in your library if you can find it. The last time I checked, it wasn't that expensive, but that could change in a hurry.

It just happens with these games where I have so many on the playlists and feel the need to represent different versions even if there's really no point. My bad.
I remember loving this specific version of the game because it felt "right" visually. I didn't really care about the blood, although I did care about the fatalities. I never quite got why true fighting fans hated it, but playing it these days, it's easy to see how they were right. Moves just don't work or there is a strange delay either from the game or required by the player to make a move work. For those wanting precision, this ain't your version. For those who want the best look, this is it.

This is just too tough for me to figure out. It requires pinpoint accuracy and control...and I'm not entirely convinced that's possible. I'm sure that I could look up a YT video that would make me feel pretty stupid for saying that, and good for whoever makes that video because that's some talent I just do not have.
