Today I'm taking a look inside a '90s vintage Pentax camera flash.

This isn't the only way to do it.
It's probably not the best way to do it.
But it's how I did it.

This is the old 1970s vintage amplifier that used to be installed at a small-town church that my grandfather used to attend.
It's not a brand I had heard of before, but under the hood it's textbook '70s circuitry.
Grab a drink and come enjoy some old circuitry nostalgia with me.
Here is the constant voltage speaker Wiki article I referenced:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constant-voltage_speaker_system
And the manual for the amp:

I found this early '90s era power supply on it's way to the scrap heap, and I got curious about what's under that massive heatsink.
Teardown Time!

They said it couldn't be done.
They said it shouldn't be done.
But if it actually works, is it really a stupid idea?
I had a silly idea about a lazy way to add WS2812 LEDs to an existing installation without needing to take it all down and re-installing it. But will it really work?

Time to do a couple of easy upgrades to my track cleaning car (which was made from an old cheap trainset gondola).
Upgrades include: metal wheels, lowering the carbody, and adding body mount Kadee couplers.
End result: the car runs smoother, couples better, derails less and doesn't pick up as much gunk on the wheels.
Here's the video where I built the track cleaner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YC_s4TPz6vU

Time to tackle a fully surface mount kit.
This is a fidget spinner that makes a variety of patterns on it's LEDs using persistence of vision to create a full image out of only 11 LEDs.

How good is a cheap breathalyzer type device?
And does it work any better than a homemade one?
Let's test this $3 one I got in a recent mailbag.
(spoiler: I overpaid for it...)
Here's the datasheet of the sensor I used in the DIY version: https://components101.com/sites/default/files/component_datasheet/MQ-3%20Sensor%20Datasheet%20In%20Detail.pdf

Everything has felt a bit... different lately, so I decided to do a Q&A video to change things up a bit.
A couple of weeks ago I invited some questions from you guys, and now here's what I have to say about them.
Normal (whatever that is) videos will resume next week.

My 6+ year old Roomba is misbehaving, so today I'm giving it a servicing and diagnosing the problem.
And giving it a long overdue cleaning.
