InRange has no sponsors, no corporate overlords - and the Brutality Matches don't either. Announcing the "pay it forward" campaign, along with information on future sponsorship "deals".

Stage 2: Trench Warfare!
What other matches bring you a full trench system to run'n'gun through and then finish on a MGM Spinner? That's right, no other matches do that. Check it out!
InRangeTV was at the first Red October AK match in 2016, and we returned in 2017. The match is nearly double the size of the inagural event, coming in at over 200 competitors!
Ian brought his Valmet, and Finnish gear in the AK "Light" division.
Karl competed in "Armored" with 6b43/45 "Ratnik" Russian LBV and plates along with the Ak74 he won last year now field modified to replicate Russian specialist configs. We're lovingly calling this ~12lbs beast the "Alpha" AK.

InRangeTV and Primary & Secondary teamed up in this collaboration in which we combined multiple "battle rifles", 5 shooters, and 4 drills in an effort to use time based metrics to determine the best of the breed of battle rifles:
H&K G3
FN FAL
FN SCAR-17
Brownells' BRN-10 AR10
Sons of Liberty Gunworks MK10
Desert Tech MDR
M1A/M14
Robinson Arms XCR-M
Each drill was fired multiple times by each shooter and the worst and best runs were thrown out to normalize the results. At the end of each drill we declare the winner, along with the placement of the remaining other 7 rifles, based on those results.
This is drill 1, "Cold Start".

The SVD is a notorious Soviet era DMR, which has proven itself on the battlefield. It is chambered in a battle cartridge, and belabored with a less than optimal BDC which requires dialing in known distances on targets before engaging.
The WWSD is a modern AR15, and when paired with an ACOG and MK262 77 grain ammunition, is very accurate and easy to shoot.
Let's time getting the same amount of grains on target, requiring 2 hits from the WWSD rifle to every single hit from the SVD at 300, 400 and 500 yards and see what conclusions we can come to about these platforms.

In this video I discuss two bits of 1870's military suplus - the Spencer Carbine and the Schofield revolver. Both of them were excellent weapons in their day but for their own unique reasons became military surplus, meaning they saw extensive use on the frontier as a result.

We've been beating the drum about demonetization and advertising/sponsors being used as a weapon against content creators.
Zorka.Mobi decided to prove one of those points and that is discussed in this video.

Competition can, and should be used, as a test bed for equipment - but in this instance, also as a way to do testing and development of a new product.

This month's Q&A is focused on historical topics surrounding specifically Tombstone, AZ, the Old West & the Wyatt Earp - both the truth and the mythology.
00:57
Sean S.
Who is the person that is passed off as Holliday in most photos, and what is the history around that?
03:13
orianhullinger
Why are the Earps are so prolific in Western lore, and where did it start?
07:47
Max S
The bottled in bond act of 1897 was the first food regulation, before that rectifiers put everything from tobacco spit to iodine in whiskey. What was the whiskey of choice for Earp and the west of the time. Brown-Forman produced the first consistently bottled and stamped bourbon of the time. A history of Bourbon is a history of the US (look at the Whiskey Rebellion) so I'm curious how it ties in here.

During the fight at the OK Corral what was the caliber of the shotgun used was it 12ga or 10ga? No info I have seen has said what it was.

tangential, feel free to ignore, but what do you think of this "Tombstone" rifle and its advertisement? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKM3HP392MU&feature=youtu.b

(More seriously): What is a little detail or tidbit about the gunfight and the parties involved that a lot of pop culture has actually gotten surprisingly right?
17:02
Nick B
After the ‘Vendetta Ride’ by some of the Earps and Doc Holliday among others, it is my understanding that they did not and could not return to Tombstone because there were warrants out for their arrest (the movies inevitably gloss over this issue). What ever became of those charges and was Wyatt Earp forced to avoid Arizona or at least Tombstone for the rest of his days?
18:35
Derrill G
Were there ever any charges or trials for the attacks on Morgan and Virgil Earp?
21:58
Nick B
Sorry to keep peppering you with questions but this topic is such fun (feel free to use any or none, of course). I thought it was mythical but a couple of decades ago I read an article arguing at least somewhat convincingly that Edward Judson aka “Ned Buntline” did gift long barrel Colt’s to Wyatt Earp and a few other lawmen and Earp used his at the OK Corral. What say you?

Speaking of fights, what’s your take on the outcome of the Fitzsimmons vs. Sharkey boxing match?

What's the best depiction of the famous fight? How do you judge them?
