DIY PVC Enclosure for BusBar for Electric Fence for Farm / Ranch for Livestock
Guys this is a long format video on making up a DIY enclosure for a BusBar for electrical fencing. I couldn't find an enclosure that would fit OK so I made one. I realized afterwards that it could have been much simpler using only one stud instead of a busbar, but still an interesting build. This is for being able to tie multiple lines of incoming electrical fence into one location without doing some sort of crappy twisting or knotting or something like that. This uses ring connectors to make the connections. Next video will cover the actual routing and terminations. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJJxWno4LpY
In this episode, we design a sample bracket around this Eaton Hydraulic Pump I downloaded from their website as a real world example part to design around. This is an example of multibody workflow (in my opinion the best design principle) that is VERY uncommon in the Solidworks Community. I don't use vault so I have no idea how multibody interacts with Vault, or any ERP, MRP system. This is how I tend to design, so it may not work for your situation but as always I hope it gives you some tools to stick in your belt and makes you a better CAD Jockey. Hope you enjoy, Skud.

Guys, this is a simple one. Of course use the pallet that the metal roofing company ships the roofing with. We reinforced the front of the pallet with 10' 2x6s so it wouldn't bend as much when lifting. Used the ol' Harbor Freight Hoist (link below) and lifted those bad boys up onto the roof. Ty did some filming this time which was great, and as always, you know the drill....
Hope this helps someone out there.

This is the start of a mini series on design and build. First we will start out designing a buffing station for the shop. Sourcing parts, cleaning up STEP files or using them as a point of reference for our models, then putting all of the parts together in an assembly and finally generating drawings. After we get drawings done, we will fabricate the darn buffing station. This is not going to be a "fly by" series for the pros, but an in depth series for those who are new to design.

This is sort of the part 2 to the first shelf organizer. This one is for my pin nailers and my impact drivers, it also holds some of my framing squares and other miscellaneous tools.

I worked hard on this one and came up with a pretty decent solution. The shape of the mouth still needs tweaking, but the attachment that sucks up the dust on the 12" Miter saw from Harbor Freight works surprisingly well. I used a short length of shop vac hose for the portion from the saw to the dust collection drop.

We had some very cold nights this winter and I was worried about one of our Goats so I decided to install a heater for their loafing shed. I knew forced air wasn't going to work so I looked for an infrared heater. The one I found at the "Big W" or Wallyland had quartz tubes and was perfect. I hooked it up to a photocell controlled outlet and was off to the races, well sort of.

This is the 2nd part of a video about the dimensioning in Solidworks, the original video was 40 minutes long so I broke it into 2 pieces. I am in the process of creating a mock / sample part, a Picatinny Rail Widget and dimension the part in both the sketch and modeling environment. The model is available at:

Guys this is the start of the buffing station for the shop. I didn't make real concrete plans as I don't know how hard I am going to have to push to polish metal. So because of that, I didn't make it portable or real permanent right off the bat so I can use it and figure out what I do and don't like about it.
