Repairing my childhood Sega Game Gear
I got this guy for, I think, my 13th birthday. I wanted it over the Game Boy because it had color and a TV tuner. Never got the tuner, and rarely played the unit because the battery life was awful. Then it sat on a shelf for 30 years.
Flash forward to now. I rediscovered it on my shelf and figured I'd give it a go. Whaddaya know - it doesn't work.
Hang out with me today while replace capacitors, burn myself, discover before unknown faults, run about 20 bodge wires and finally get working this memory from my childhood.
