Replacing my Catalyst converter on Citroen C1, Peugeot 107, and Toyota Aygo catalyst converter purchased cheap off eBay, don't pay the daft dealer chargers for replacing this part. Can be done in under an hour. Don't blame me if you nack your car though.
Update 24th April 2015 on my Peugeot it has two of these Catalyst Converters on now since new. Both bought from ebay at a cheap price, I purchased my car brand new coming up 5 years ago and it has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. Apart from these cat problems, I think i have had new tyres all round twice, brake pad and discs once and a window wiper. I had it service twice when i bought it. The second service at 20,000 the guy at Peugeot told me I had a weaping water pump. I had a feeling he was lying, how right I was. My car now had 98801 miles on and I havent even had to top my water up yet. Same original clutch, same water pump same alternator, same starter motor and same exhaust. Havent even looked at gear box oil.
Going back to the clutch, I did have problems with it slipping a few times, what happens when the clutch wares, the pedal rides high and goes out of range, adjusting the clutch cable brings it back in range of pedal again and I have done this two or three times and it works well, the clutch is worn I know that but I have got probs an extra 20,000 miles out of it. The adjuster is a nobbly plastic collar, it cant been seen but you can feel it near gearbox where cable enters. I used a pair of mole grips and clipped it on from bonnet access and spinned the mole grips downwards over to back of car direction you may only get 5-10mm of turn but this worked for me. There is a video on youtube about this somewhere, Happy motoring.

An email I received regarding this video from a friend over the Atlantic.
"Damn Dave! I can't believe how much you get harassed! That's terrible, I was kinda waiting for you to tell him to fuck off...but I guess that wouldn't go over very well. It's simply amazes me how nosy the people and cops are in the UK. Seems you can't do anything without someone butting in your business! We certainly don't get that here...especially in Texas. In some places I can wear full military getup and a rifle and no one will even give me a second look. Too bad you can't just up and move...we would be more than happy to have you here in the US. I felt disgusted when he was questioning you. That would absolutely never happen here. Best of luck to you in the new year Dave".
My response:-
"You wouldn't believe how nosy people are here, if you pull your car over at the side of the road to use your phone you get funny looks from people in house thinking you are casing the joint or something. You would think parking well out the way on moorland would be away from this but it creates even more suspicion. crazy mate, if i dressed up with military gear like you say there would be helicopters, police dogs and armed snipers around me in an hour".
