Aboard the Unreliable, he talked to Parvati and began the companion quest "Don't Bite The Sun". He also talked to Felix and began the companion quest "Friendship's Due". At Phineas' Lab, he talked to Phineas and completed the main quest "Radio Free Monarch". The next main quest, "The City and the Stars", has begun. Now, Davilas will work on companion quests. Unreliable: Davilas resumes aboard the good ol' Unreliable. Time to pick up perks. Davilas picks up Ellie's perk Magic Bullets. This causes the bullets from Ellie's ability to ricochet to a second, nearby enemy. Davilas picks up Felix's perk Antagonistic Fury. This causes Felix to deal 20% more damage to an enemy whose Negative Reputation with the party is higher than their Positive Reputation. Davilas also picks up Vicar Max's perk Planned Intervention. This causes Max to taunt enemies within 20 meters when Davilas has dropped between 25% health, as long as Max is conscious. Finally, Davilas picks up SAM's perk Bedazzle Automechanicals. With this SAM's ability will stun automechanicals. Davilas chats with his companions in the ship's living area. When he is ready to go, he uses the navigation terminal to fly the ship to the Groundbreaker Docking Bays. During the trip, a scene takes place. A Parcel Runner meets the ship and drops off a special delivery. This starts the "Peril on Gorgon" DLC main quest "The Ones Who Walk Away From Gorgon". The first objective is to open the package, which is in the Unreliable's cargo hold. This becomes available after completing "Radio Free Monarch". Davilas will work on the "Peril on Gorgon" quests later. Davilas fast-travels to the Groundbreaker Promenade. He goes with Parvati and Felix. Groundbreaker (time 8:05): The party goes to the Rest-n-Go and talks to Gladys for Parvati's companion quest "Don't Bite The Sun". They ask about cleansing products. There are three options. The party goes with the Mock-apples and Synthamon scent. The party receives the "Mock-apple & Synthamon" Beauty Basket quest item. This concludes the option to shop for cleansing products for "Don't Bite The Sun". The next objective is to speak to Parvati. So, Davilas talks to Parvati next. After a conversation about her family, he hands over the beauty basket. Now, she wants to get the meal. This concludes the objective to speak to Parvati for "Don't Bite The Sun". Previously, he explored the Decayed Mausoleum in the Magic City Goura Ruins. After defeating the Talisman Guardian, he obtained Lido's Talisman. Then, he returned to Zekres and gave the talisman to Asbar. In Zekres Castle, Davilas and Asbar fought Demon Soul Ojaros. That wraps up the Zekres leg of the Version 5.2 storyline. Now, Davilas will go to Bardista to start the next part of the story. Davilas resumes in his house in the Azlan housing area. Outside, he checks his mailbox and receives gold for items that sold on the bazaar. Many thanks to the buyers! Davilas uses the Abyss Jewel to teleport to Bardista Fortress. Bardista Fortress (time 1:38): As Davilas arrives in Bardista Fortress, a scene takes place. With Queen Valeria gone, there is trouble in town. Bardista Castle (time 4:43): After the scene, Davilas gains control at F-4 on floor 1F. He talks to Bolg at C-5. Davilas must take the elevator upstairs and meet with Beltoro. Davilas takes the elevator at B-4/B-5. Upstairs, a scene with Beltoro and Irusha takes place. The Gannon Brothers are terrorizing the town. Beltoro wants to investigate the Gaushia Forest near Zekres, but the path leading there from Belvine is blocked by a boulder. Davilas must go to the Branick Quarry and obtain an axe in the innermost chamber. After the scene, Davilas gains control at G-5 on the castle's upper level. Gepesh at E-5 by the elevator has story information. I believe there is a treasure in the southeast room at E-7, but the door is currently locked. Davilas takes the elevator at E-5 down to the ground floor. Then, he takes the door at G-4/G-5 out of the castle. Bardista Fortress (time 12:18): Davilas heads to the bank and deposits most of his gold. Afterwards, he uses the Abyss Jewel to teleport to the quarry in the Bardia Mountains. Bardia Mountains (time 13:20): Davilas arrives at F-6 in the southeast. He follows the tracks north into the Branick Quarry. Branick Quarry (time 13:50): Just inside the quarry, Davilas boards the mine cart at E-8. It transports him to G-2 in the northeast. At G-1, Davilas exits to the innermost chamber. At D-2 in the chamber, a sparkly spot illuminates a massive pickaxe that the boss, Killer Wheel, left behind. Davilas examines it and obtains the Big Pickaxe (ビッグピッケル) key item. There is some dialogue with Irusha. Davilas's next objective is to go to Belvine Forest West and find the exit to the Gaushia Forest. Davilas uses the Abyss Jewel to teleport to Belvine Forest West. Belvine Forest West (time 15:54): Davilas arrives at G-7 near the exit to Belvine Lake. He heads north. At F-3, Davilas examines the boulder blocking the exit to the Gaushia Forest. He uses the Big Pickaxe to get rid of the boulder. There is some dialogue with Irusha. Davilas must continue east to Gaushia Forest and find a town. Davilas exits east at F-3 to Gaushia Forest. Gaushia Forest (time 18:25): Davilas arrives at A-5 in the west. There is something eerie about these woods. Davilas examines the Abyss Gate nearby to get a new destination on his Abyss Jewel. At D-4, a black chest on the lower level contains 3 pieces of Magic Red Tree Board (魔紅樹の板). At F-4, a red chest contains a Three Imperial Generals Medal (帝国三将軍メダル). By the exit to the Curse Fountain in the northeast, Davilas examines an Abyss Gate at H-3. This adds another new destination to the Abyss Jewel. At E-3, a black chest contains a clump of Twilight Moss (たそがれゴケ). At E-2, Davilas exits north to Tobol Village. Tobol Village (time 24:02): As Davilas arrives in town, a scene with Irusha and Beltoro takes place. They meet a young woman named Tilia. Hm, it seems that she's popular with the kiddos... After the scene, Davilas gains control at B-3 in the northwestern cranberry field. At C-2, a red chest contains a Chaos Berry (カオスベリー). Davilas goes to the northern house and talks to Feane at E-2/E-3. He accepts a Cran Pie to eat. Feane tells him a bit about Tilia. Next, Davilas enters the house to the south and talks to Sondai at D-4. This triggers some more dialogue. Davilas's next destination is the Levin Cave in the west of Gaushia Forest. After this conversation, Sondai at D-4 has story information. At F-6, Davilas examines the Abyss Gate. This adds a new destination to the Abyss Jewel. Near the end of the cave, they met Edge, Eblan's young prince. Now, they will farm for Giant's Gloves from the Steel Golems in the Cave of Eblan. Then, they will infiltrate the upper part of the Tower of Babil. The party resumes just outside the Cave of Eblan. Cave of Eblan (time 0:52): On floor B1 of the Cave of Eblan, the party farms for Giant's Gloves from Steel Golems. Cecil already has a pair of Giant's Gloves. In the process, Edge reaches Level 36. Kain reaches Level 47. The next set of Giant's Gloves goes to young Prince Edge. Rydia reaches Level 45. Edge reaches Level 37. Kain gets the last set of Giant's Gloves. Now, the party can move on. The party heads downstairs to Eblan, where they spend a night in the expensive inn. They continue on to the First Passage. In the First Passage, Rosa reaches Level 46. The party continues through the Second Passage. Cecil reaches Level 49. In the save room, they save the game. Then, the party exits northeast to the Tower of Babil. Tower of Babil (time 15:19): The party starts in the southeast of floor B1. This is the top accessible floor of the tower. As they head north, a scene takes place. Edge has an interesting way to get them inside! He can also get them outside. Just to the west of the entrance, a chest contains a Unicorn Horn in the northwest of the floor. Edge reaches Level 38. Kain reaches Level 48. Rydia reaches Level 46. For completing the Tower of Babil B1 map, the party earns 5 Bomb Fragments. At the southeast end of the path, a chest contains a Silver Hourglass. The party does some hunting on this floor in the hope of encountering a Mythril Golem for the bestiary. No such luck, sadly. The floor seems overrun with other enemies. Edge reaches Level 39. Rosa reaches Level 47. Cecil reaches Level 50. Rydia reaches Level 47. Edge reaches Level 40. He learns the Bardsong Hastemarch and the Ninjutsu Tremor. For raising Cecil the Paladin to Level 50, the player earns the Steam achievement "The Illuminator". The party goes downstairs to floor B2. They start in the southeast of the floor. The path goes around clockwise. Kain reaches Level 49. In the north of the path, they find a side path leading south. On the south-central platform, they find a monster-in-a-box chest. The chest contains an Ogrekiller guarded by three Mad Ogres. They can be nasty, unless Cecil has Draw Attacks and Counter. He picks up a Job Point upgrade for 7 points. He has now spent 238 Job Points in total as Red Mage. He has 0 Job Points left over. In his delivery box, he receives gil for two Plutons that sold at auction. Thank you to the buyer(s)! Then, Heorot heads out to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 1:13): Heorot teleports to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 1:35): Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at G-5. Up the hill, he examines the Undulating Confluence at G-5 to enter Escha - Ru'Aun. Escha - Ru'Aun (time 2:13): Heorot arrives at H-11. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he hunts some more Eschan Il'aern in this zone. During the grinding, Heorot acquires a fresh Facility Ring. Heorot accrues 1 Job Point for an overall total of 239 Job Points earned. He has a current total of 1 Job Point. When he has finished for now, he uses the Undulating Confluence at H-11 to return to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 57:08): Heorot arrives at G-5. Just down the hill to the west, he uses Home Point #1 at G-5 to teleport to Port Jeuno. Port Jeuno (time 57:45): Heorot trades his Crests to Shami at H-8 for storage. Then, he teleports to Bastok Markets. Bastok Markets (time 59:28): Heorot trades his Copper A.M.A.N. Voucher to Isakoth at E-11. In Mjoll's Goods, he sells his loot to Olwyn at E-11. Then, Heorot teleports to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 1:01:29): At the auction house, Heorot puts two Plutons up for sale. Heorot enters the residential area.
