Hemp, or industrial hemp, is a plant in the botanical class of Cannabis sativa cultivars grown specifically for industrial and consumable use. (it has no THC you can not use it for recreational uses) It can be used to make a wide range of products. Along with bamboo, hemp is among the fastest growing plants on Earth. It was also one of the first plants to be spun into usable fiber thousands of years ago. It can be refined into a variety of commercial items, including paper, rope, textiles, clothing, biodegradable plastics, paint, insulation, biofuel, food, bread, cooking oil, ice cream, wine, animal feed (endless) which all carry the health benefits of the plant when digested. Over 1500 products, This one plant can shut down the oil industry over night if put into full production & is such heavily regulated. Conveniently it was un-banded during WW2 to mass produce much needed items at a CHEAP cost. Industrial Control of Freedom to do as one wants as a community. The media of cause on mass portrayed these communities as hippies etc trying to discredit the movement. It has turned into a billion dollar industry over the years but no where near it's full capacity as a plant to humanity.... (a rip of a dvd I've had 20 odd years)
