0:00 Introduction
1:00 Vegetable nutrients breakdown
6:03 Key takeaways
In this video, we’re going to talk about a common question I get: can I eat beets, carrots, peas, and tomatoes on keto?
This is a great question that can be confusing for many people starting keto. Let me break it down.
Foods (even vegetables) with high amounts of carbohydrates—especially sugars—can kick you out of ketosis. If the fiber is higher, it may help buffer the carbs and sugars somewhat.
Take a look at the nutrients in each of these vegetables.
BEETS
Potassium 442mg
Carbohydrates 13g
Sugar 9g
Protein 2.2g
Fiber 3.8g
Safe on keto?: No, unless you’re already at your desired weight.
CARROTS
Potassium 195mg
Carbohydrates 6g
Sugar 2.9g
Protein .6g
Fiber 1.7g
Safe on keto?: Yes.
PEAS
Potassium 354mg
Carbohydrates 21g
Sugar 8g
Protein 8g
Fiber 7g
Safe on keto?: No.
TOMATOES
Potassium 292mg
Carbohydrates 4.8g
Sugar 3.2g
Protein 1.1g
Fiber 1.5g
Safe on keto?: Yes.
POTATOES
Potassium 897mg
Carbohydrates 37g
Sugar 1.7g
Protein 4.3g
Fiber 4.7g
Safe on keto?: No.
CORN
Potassium 476mg
Carbohydrates 123g
Sugar 1g
Protein 16g
Safe on keto?: No.
ARTICHOKEs (Jerusalem)
Potassium 644mg
Carbohydrates 26g
Sugar 14g
Protein 3g
Fiber 2.4g
Safe on keto?: No.
Beets are fantastic for your liver and supply nutrients to the body. However, they may kick you out of keto if you have too much. Artichoke is the absolute worst vegetable to have on keto because they are very carbohydrate-dense.

0:50 Benefits of hydroxychloroquine
3:26 Hydroxychloroquine and the later stages of COVID-19
Today we're going to talk about the benefits of hydroxychloroquine that actually go beyond just killing COVID-19.
Hydroxychloroquine has been used for over 70 years as a malaria drug. It's been repurposed for COVID-19. Hydroxychloroquine is also a very inexpensive drug.
There are some reports that hydroxychloroquine is ineffective and could even be dangerous. But when you look deeper into the study their claims are based on—it's bogus.
Hydroxychloroquine benefits that go beyond killing the coronavirus:
1. It's a zinc ionophore
2. It's antithrombotic
3. It's an alkalizer
4. It suppresses an overactive immune system
5. It's a powerful anti-inflammatory
6. It helps reduce autoantibodies
But, there may be a point of no return. It's unclear whether hydroxychloroquine could have as many benefits if the person is in the later stages of the virus when there is already too much damage.

In this video, we’re going to talk about natural desiccated thyroid, and why some people feel worse when they take it.
We’re going to be talking about:
• Armour
• Nature Throid
• NP Thyroid
These all contain pig thyroid extracts. Why would someone feel worse with something more natural versus something synthetic? It could be because Armour, Nature Throid, and NP Thyroid have additional ingredients that you’re reacting to like dextrose or cornstarch.
If you have extreme fatigue or flu-like symptoms, you may have Hashimoto’s. The majority of people who have hypothyroidism have Hashimoto’s. It’s almost as if you’re allergic to your own thyroid gland.
What I would do if I had this condition:
• Switch to Synthroid (synthetic T4)
• Take Thytrophin PMG (thyroid extract without the hormones)
With healthy keto and intermittent fasting, the need for thyroid hormones will go down, and it will help you drop inflammation. You may also want to take vitamin D.

Today I want to introduce you to my new product called Trace Minerals Enhanced. I did have a trace mineral product in the past that was a liquid, but this is a new and improved version. The old product, being a liquid, could get messy. I also wanted to add some additional trace minerals to this product to make it even better.
The most important trace mineral that I wanted to add in a higher amount is zinc. But, if you take one trace mineral over a long period of time without the other trace minerals with it, this can cause deficiencies in the other trace minerals. So, I added a few key trace minerals in a blend of all of the other trace minerals. There are over 74 trace minerals in this product.
Trace minerals are minerals needed in very small amounts. They are cofactors in the biochemistry of the body. You have different enzymes that are proteins that are building tissues, breaking food down, and are involved in the different chemical reactions. Trace minerals are essential in those chemical reactions.
Consider taking 1-2 capsules per day on an empty stomach.
Here are a few of the trace minerals that I added to my Trace Minerals Enhanced product:
Zinc:
• Supports a healthy immune system
• Is needed for vitamin A to be utilized in the body
• Is involved in epithelial tissue integrity
• Is involved in skin, reproduction, and the immune system
Manganese:
• Is important in strengthening ligaments
• Is involved in bone formation, cartilage, different enzymes, and the immune system
Copper:
• Is involved in making collagen
• Supports a healthy immune system
• Supports ligaments
Iodine:
• Supports a healthy thyroid
• Helps in the formation of thyroid hormones
• Supports estrogen balance
Selenium:
• One of the most important antioxidants
• Is very important in converting thyroid hormones
• Is helpful in buffering excess amounts of mercury
• Supports the immune system
• Can help prevent muscle cramping
Boron:
• Supports bone health
• Is involved in building testosterone

I’m not against the vegan diet. But there are some key tips to follow if you’re trying to do keto as a vegan.
A vegan diet can still be an unhealthy diet. It’s crucial to ensure you’re getting the nutrients you need no matter what diet you’re on.
Some of the top things to avoid if you’re vegan are:
• Textured vegetable protein
• Soy protein isolates
• Fake meat
• High-fructose corn syrup
• Gluten
Certain nutrients are easy to get on a vegan diet. But, it’s difficult to get vitamin B12, selenium, iron, zinc, vitamin A, and vitamin D if you eat a vegan diet. It’s also difficult to get omega-3 fatty acids and amino acids if you’re vegan.
If you’re going to do a vegan version of the ketogenic diet, you need to go beyond just lowering your carbs and consuming high amounts of fat and a moderate amount of protein. You also really need to focus on getting the nutrients you need.
If you’re going to consume grains, you want to consume grains that are gluten-free, including:
• Oats
• Quinoa
• Millet
• Teff
• Buckwheat
You can also consume products made with almond flour. But keep in mind that when you consume grains, nuts, or legumes, you need to germinate them first to get rid of anti-nutrients.
Top vegan, keto-friendly foods to include in your diet:
• Nutritional yeast (non-fortified)
• Sauerkraut (raw version)
• Raw wheatgrass juice powder
• Spirulina
• Seaweed or sea kelp
• Extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, or red palm oil
• Carrots
• Squash
• Bell peppers
• Leafy greens
• Nuts
• Hummus
• Avocados
You may also want to take taurine, an important amino acid, as a supplement to help avoid issues ranging from anxiety to gallstones.

In this video, we’re going to talk about the health benefits of selenium.
What is selenium?
Selenium is a trace mineral that has extremely powerful antioxidant properties. It’s a co-factor enzyme, which means it’s involved in a lot of different enzymes as a helper mineral. Its main job as an antioxidant is to help protect against oxidative damage. Selenium may be beneficial for chronic health problems and conditions where there is inflammation.
Selenium benefits:
1. Helps make glutathione
2. Oxidative stress reduction
3. Required for the conversion of T4-T3
4. Reduced complications of certain diseases
5. Anticancer
6. Antitumor
7. It may be beneficial for those with alcohol-related liver disease
8. It may be beneficial for those with arsenic poisoning
9. It may be beneficial for those with autoimmune conditions
10. It may be beneficial for those with BPH
11. It may be beneficial for those with diabetes
12. It may help detox mercury
The RDAs for selenium are 55mcg. But, the therapeutic dosage you may want to consider taking if you have any of the above conditions would be 200mcg. Selenium can have toxic effects if you take too much.
Selenomethionine may be the most beneficial to take. Brazil nuts are one of the most selenium-rich foods. But, they are also very high in phytic acid. Phytic acid actually blocks selenium. If you want to consume Brazil nuts, be sure to soak them overnight and dry them out first to get rid of the phytic acid.

1:18 The best natural remedies for hemorrhoids

Today I’m going to cover natural remedies for hemorrhoids.
Top symptoms of hemorrhoids:
• Pain
• Anal leakage
• Itchiness
• Mucus
• Bleeding
• Protrusion
It's believed that the top causes of hemorrhoids are constipation or a lack of fiber in the diet. But, there is no proof that these issues really cause hemorrhoids.
In fact, on the opposite spectrum, diarrhea increases the risk of hemorrhoids. Pregnancy is also associated with an increased risk of hemorrhoids.
Hemorrhoids are dilated veins, similar to varicose veins. Excess estrogen can create vasodilation of the veins, which is why varicose veins are also common in pregnant women. This means that part of our solution needs to address excess estrogen.
Thankfully, we can look to certain foods as potential remedies for hemorrhoids. Lemons and limes contain beneficial flavonoids that make them two of the best foods for hemorrhoids.
Cruciferous vegetables can help balance estrogen while providing phytonutrients to support the body from different angles. Another great alternative remedy for hemorrhoids is stone root, also known as collinsonia root.
Here’s how to make the #1 best remedy for hemorrhoids.
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup of water
• 1 whole lemon
• 1/2 cup of cruciferous sprouts
Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend for 30 to 40 seconds. Drink this mixture three times per day for severe hemorrhoids and three times per week once the hemorrhoids are under control. Then, continue to have this drink at least once per week for maintenance.
