Video transcript: The next version of Among Us is coming out on the 10th of November. The game was recently announced at Meta Connect 2022 & it will be called Among Us VR. So I know this might not be exciting for non-VR people, which is most people. But at the very least I’m sure some pretty cool YouTube videos will come from the game, who knows maybe it will even be sort of a resurrection of Among Us back to the top. Just like you will be able to resurrect yourself at the time of your inevitable demise IF you’re following this channel. I’m actually quite hyped for this, I always thought Among Us is the sort of a game that would be awesome in VR & well hopefully it will be.*

Facebook has just ruined a woman’s life with its massive glitch.
So a few days ago a user by the name of kimmysnail was just checking up on some people that she used to know.
Some might call it stalking but come on we’ve all done it.
And then this Facebook glitch made it so each one of the profiles she checked out got sent a friend request.
She said she added her ex-boyfriend from 10 years ago, his wife, her eighth-grade science teacher, friends of her boyfriend and their girlfriends who she never even met.
Which literally sounds like a plot to a horror movie from 2020.
The good news is this will not happen to you if you follow this channel…
Mostly because Facebook fixed it so, we’re all good now.

AMD is trying to save us with their new GPUs.
They’ve announced the 7900 XT & XTX cards which will launch at $900 and $1000.
An extremely good deal compared to Nvidias’ crazy $1600 MSRP of the 4090.
And AMD’s cards are quite comparable in performance as well with the 7900 XTX showing up to 70% faster performance than their previous flagship the 6950XT at list in AMD's own benchmarks.
Also if you like this you might like some other tech news as well so please follow for more.
Hopefully AMD is able to launch these things at these prices & hopefully the resellers to just mark them up by a few hundred dollars.
Because if this things are a success, that will just mean that Nvidia is gonna have to lower their pricing to stay competitive with AMD.

Microsoft’s Bing search engine is getting ChatGPT.
This is actually insane & it will change how we search for data on the internet.
First of all it’s getting the next-gen version of ChatGPT which is trained on GPT-4.
And if you wanna train yourself in tech, be sure to follow this channel, please.
I didn’t expect this to happen so quickly and it could actually take significant market share away from Google Search.
So I’m very excited & let me know what you think in the comments.

GPU prices are continuing to fall all the way down to even 30% under MSRP.
This is ofc due to the fact that mining GPUs have also flooded the market since the crash of crypto.
So now there’s just a ton of stock left & those retailers that actually want to sell anything have to resort to pretty low prices.
Not to mention that the launch of the next-gen GPUs is just a few months away at this point.
So current-gen cards from Nvidia & AMD seem to be about 20% under MSRP right now.
At least in China as that was the crypto capital of the World, but the price drops should eventually trickle out to other places as well.

Steam is officially adding support for Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con controllers.
The feature is currently available only in the newest Steam beta and it will support either one or both of the Joy-Cons.
So now you can game on the go & in your room on your PC with the same controllers, so you can basically just glue them to your hands as you don’t really need to hold any other peripherals ever again.
Steam also added support for the Switch-specific NES, SNES, N64 & Saga Genesis controllers last week.
So now you can play PC games & get all the headshots with all the decades of training you spent on Nintendo’s consoles playing Super Mario or something.

Contactless building could become a normal construction method thanks to this new device.
The LeviPrint device uses high-frequency sound waves in order to levitate objects.
So now you can make all your Superman action figures actually fly… I’m not the only one that has those right?
This device could be very useful in the biomedical field where cross-contamination can be a big issue.
As well as for something like assembling watches or camera modules for smartphones, which are very weak & tiny little objects that break easily…unlike my action figures.
This could also be very useful in the field of 3D printing, but a lot more development of the hardware & software is needed before that becomes a reality.

Microsoft’s adding a new revolutionary feature to Windows.
The news has been leaked recently and brace yourself because this is just so crazy.
Like the tech news which you should totally follow.
Windows is adding tabs to Notepad …
I know absolutely crazy and confidential so don’t tell anyone.
But in all seriousness, this is probably something that should’ve happened many years ago and alternatives like Notepad++ have had it for a really long time.
So do you think this is a good idea, do you ever even use Notepad these days?
All good questions, so let me know in the comments.

Ukraine is furious because Elon Musk’s SpaceX is restricting access to their Starlink services.
If we roll back the clock, after being asked for assistance Elon Musk provided free Starlink access to Ukraine about a year ago.
Which Ukraine grew very dependent on very quickly as other internet services became unavailable because of war damage, power outages and so on.
And now SpaceX is restricting specific uses of their equipment, for instance making it so that Ukraine can’t use it to pilot its drones.
Saying that Starlink was never meant to be weaponized and that Ukraine leveraged it in unintentional ways that were not part of any agreement.
Because obviously SpaceX doesn’t wanna be seen as someone who’s enabling war & use of these deadly weapons.
Let me know what you think about this situation in the comments, who is in the right, who is in the wrong and please follow for more tech news.

Samsung has just released their 2nd generation computational storage device or you know a “smart SSD”.
The storage device is powered by an AMD Xilinx FPGA & promises up to 50% reduced computational times, lowered power consumption & about a 97% lower CPU utilization with frequently-accessed data..
So regular consumers might not know, but just transferring a lot of data can be very CPU intensive.
In fact a few years back I was filling up a database with data that needed processing & my old 4-core 4770K CPU was the bottleneck not my Corsair MP510 NvME SSD.
So will this make your games run faster, no not really.
But in workflows with a lot of frequently accessed data, this can make a big difference, just like you by following the Tech News.
