Estonia Is a ‘Digital Republic’—What That Means and Why It May Be Everyone’s Future
? COMMENT Below For 1 Week GOOD LUCK ?
? Estonia has been able to vote online from anywhere in the world since 2005. The country has digitized 99 percent of its public services and provides the most robust online government services. Doctors in Estonia can access patient records with the permission of patients. Estonia has consistently maintained one of the highest levels of trust in government in the EU. The Estonian Government maintains that this digitization of public services saves more than 1,400 years of working time and 2% of GDP annually.
The foundation of this digital republic dates back to 1997 when just 1.7% of the world's population had internet access. Estonia was the first country to pass legislation making Internet access a fundamental human right. In 1997, the Government of Estonia launched a project named Tiigrihüpe (Tiger Leap) which invested heavily in the growth and expansion of internet networks. Almost all Estonian schools had Internet access within a year of its founding, and free wi-fi hotspots began to be established in 2001. Estonia became the first country to use blockchain technology for governance in 2012.
It is estimated that by 2022, 93% of the world's total data collected or processed will be "dark" or "siloed" data. In Estonia, people have to fill in several different forms with the same personal information (name, address) when they need access to public services from different government agencies. Estonians recognize that even elected officials cannot access their personal data beyond what is accepted by them for the public service they need. Most countries do not have the same conditions as post-Soviet Estonia when the Tiger Leap was implemented.

? Amazon's new robotaxi has no steering wheel, brakes, or accelerator. It can drive for 16 hours straight on one full charge. Amazon purchased Zoox self-driving car startup Zoox in June. Zoox unveiled its first four-seater taxi prototype with no driver last week. The vehicle weighs 5,400 pounds, 1,000 pounds more than a mid-sized truck or SUV. It has a 133-kilowatt-hour battery that drives the car, and passengers can control climate, route and arrival time.
Zoox has developed a fleet of driverless taxis that can go 75 miles per hour and have airbags. The vehicles have cameras, radars, and sensors to prevent collisions and other accidents. Initial use will be limited to city driving, avoiding highways altogether. Amazon is investing in the company, which has a strong presence in online shopping. It's a little surprising that the tech behemoth is putting so much money into a driverless transport service.
Thanks and Enjoy ? ?

? A new type of computer could integrate quantum mechanics with the inner workings of the brain. The "quantum brain" is based on cobalt atoms' quantum spin characteristics. It can analyze and preserve data within the same network structure as our brains, just like we do. Researchers hope to use the technology to create a machine that can learn from its environment. Neuromorphic computing is a new-age "computer" that uses the brain's mechanism of logging, analyzing, and storing information all in one location.
The researchers were able to replicate critical brain processes—neuron firing, synapse processing, and learning—at an artificial level. They hope to scale up their system and demonstrate that it can process real-world data.

? Astronomers estimate there may be 300 million possible alien Earths, and maybe a lot more. Alan Stern: If we discover inner ocean planets are as common around other stars as they are here, it will increase the number of opportunities for life to form throughout the galaxy. He says this could explain why we have yet to uncover persuasive evidence of other advanced civilizations out there. Stern: It's early days for determining the makeup of exoplanets, let alone their moons. The outer solar system is teeming with water, frequently in the form of vapor or ice.
Scientists believe underground seas exist on Jupiter's moon Europa, Saturn's moons Enceladus and Titan. These inner ocean worlds may be among the greatest areas in the solar system to seek life beyond Earth. If they are frequent, it is significantly less likely that we are alone in the universe, but it may be more difficult to establish the case. Astronomers have found that the Earth's magnetic field is not strong enough to protect it from asteroids, comets, explosives, and dangerous stereos from the host stars of the nearby supernovae. Such planets need little for strong magnetic fields, such as Earth, to be able to withstand them.

Note: This is an experiment of analytics. The videos jumps right into the thick of it. FYI
? Stanford University researchers create 3D mini-brain, mini-spinal cord and mini-muscle. The aim is to recapitulate our nervous system, from input to output, within the regulated atmosphere of a Petri dish. Brain organoids are free-floating brain circuits that integrate brain tissue with external production. Brain organoids are made of human tissue, often obtained from real patients and transformed into stem-cell-like states. They share the same genetic structure as their donors, making it easier to research perplexing problems like autism, dementia, or other brain diseases.
A team of scientists created a Frankenstein-like snowman made up of mini-brains and spinal cords. The team found they could contract the muscle component in a way close to how our muscles twitch when required. They hope to use their findings to create a new type of brain organoid. As mini-brains grow more intelligent, at what stage should we consider them to be a kind of AI capable of programming? We don't have a response yet, but the debates are going on. The debate is still going on in the world of artificial intelligence.
