Home Made Epoxied Concrete Plant Pot.
I needed to take a break from painting and making art, so I thought I'd brush up on an old skill or learn something new. It's been a long time since I've done any mouldmaking.
I needed a bigger plant pot for my plant.
I had empty paint buckets that fit together with just the right spacing to use as a mould for a plant pot.
I had a desire to play with cement.
So, I made a concrete plant pot.
I wanted it to look old and rustic, so I used my scenic art skills to paint it up to look old and dirty.
Concrete can leech something into the soil that makes plants unhappy, so I wanted to seal the inside with epoxy and keep the outside bare. But it turned into a big mess and epoxy got everywhere, so I ended up coating the whole thing in a good thick layer. Now the thing is shiny and plastic looking instead of old and decayed.
Oh well, it makes my plant happy.
