The next time you’re in the mood for a trip to a jaw-droppingly gorgeous country, consider a cost-effective and world-changing vacation to scenic, lovely Armenia. However, don't forget these 5 things NOT to do with your money in Armenia.
1. Don’t Let the Shop Owners Up Sell You
In Armenian shops, the owners will likely try to sell you anything you look at or touch and even invent a history of the item you’re considering. If you’re not interested, politely tell the merchant and move on to something else.
2. Don’t Forget to Tip
In a lot of European countries, tipping isn’t expected. That’s not the case in Armenia regardless that most tabs will add on taxes anyway it’s still the custom to leave a little something extra. Usually $1 USD is enough.
3. Don’t Use American Currency
In Armenia, they’re pretty strict about using the local currency, the dram. However, exchange markets are everywhere and the dram is a pretty inexpensive currency.
4. Don’t Miss Out on the Shopping in Yerevan
Armenia is a fairly inexpensive city, and no matter your budget, the shopping in Yerevan has something you’re going to love, so make sure to look around and find something fun before heading out into the countryside.
5. Pay Cab Drivers 1000 Dram, No Matter Where You Go!
It’s $2 for you but a big deal to them. If you’re being transported from one location to another through the traffic of Armenia, then the cab driver has earned their money. Go ahead and make it worth their time and effort.
Where do you want to know what not to do in next?

In Sweden, they are training crows to pick up cigarette butts! Although this may seem like an extremely strange thing to do, this isn't the first time that humanity has trained birds to do things that it can't (or won't) do itself.
In the 1940s, after seeing how many bombs had to be dropped just to hit one target and the devastation this caused, Burrhus Frederic Skinner decided to design a missile guidance system using Pigeons.
The project initially started as one pigeon held in a sock with the toe cut off to make a hole for its head, controlling the bomb's guidance fins with levers actuated by its head.
By the 1950s it had escalated to three pigeons housed in the bomb's nosecone controlling the bomb by pecking on the conductive glass nose cone with metal tabs attached to their beaks, however, advancements in the field of electronic guidance systems led to the project being killed in 1953.
In 2018, a french theme park used 6 specially trained Rooks to clean up bottle caps and cigarette butts and in 2020, Hans Forsberg invented a clever machine that dispenses peanuts when a bottle cap is introduced, he then trained local birds (including magpies) to use the machine.
Now in a Swedish city about 30 km from Stockholm a project called Corvid Cleaning is implementing variants of this machine and teaching crows to pick up cigarette butts in exchange for a treat. The idea is that other birds will see that the crows are rewarded for collecting cigarette butts and copy their actions.
Cigarette butts are exempt from Sweden's littering laws and so they make up 62% of all waste collected on streets, beaches and parks and the cost of picking them up is estimated to be around 0.8 Krona per butt (which is about 9 cents)
The estimated cost per butt of the Corvid Cleaning system is 0.2 Krona (around 2 cents) making the crow system a crazy but viable option.
Do you think using crows is a good idea?

The return of travelers to the friendly skies will likely be slow. Many people plan to wait at least two months before booking another flight, while others plan to wait at least six months. One thing is clear however, after being cooped up for so long, we all are itching to get away, but when we do, we're going to face a very different experience.
1. Airport Regulations
Airports have never been anyone's favorite part of the travel equation, but new regulations will make the check-in process even longer and even less-friendly. Travelers may find that flight attendants are masked, gowned and gloved. Social distancing on the plane will be impossible due to seat layout but easy if travelers are hesitant to get back on the proverbial horse. Some experts recommend removing the middle seat to avoid contact.
2. Destination Differences
There are many concerns that international travel will be severely curtailed as COVID-19 restrictions become a regular part of our lives. Once someone has been determined to show antibodies and demonstrates some natural protection against the virus, they may be able to provide that data with their passport. However, as reinfection is still a worry, this classification is questionable.
3. Staycations
One of the big worries with this virus is the risk of getting sick once you're far away from home. Additionally, international travelers would be wise to worry about language limitations. Experts suggest that these factors could lead to multiple outcomes. First of all, many travelers may choose to seek out adventures a bit closer to home. Staycations and short trips to venues close to home and work may be a safer bet than a long, extended trip over all.
Secondly, those who do plan to travel internationally will likely want to do a bit more homework. In addition to seeking out their hotel, restaurants and entertainment venues, travelers will need to review local medical services. Some travelers may even choose to put more time and effort into learning the language at their intended destination.
4. More Expensive
Airlines won't be able to sell every seat, so ticket prices will go up. Restaurants will cut back on buffets, so food will cost more off the menu. Hotels will have to put more resources into disinfecting, so overnights will cost more. No matter how long we wait, travel will likely cost much more once we're ready to venture back out into the world.
5. Conclusion
The airline and hotel industries are not hopeful about a post-COVID-19 travel spike. Unless a vaccine can be found and quickly offered around the world, this virus will keep us carefully considering every trip away from home for the next several years. If you get the illness and blood tests indicate antibodies, be ready to demonstrate this. If and when a vac

Most of us know to pack basic clothing, toiletries, guidebooks and the like when we take a trip, but don't forget these handy little essentials that can save the day in a multitude of scenarios.
Power strip: Airports and hotel rooms are always short of plugs, so bring your own (plus adapters) so all your devices stay juiced.
Duct tape: They ultimate MacGyver tool. Pack a small roll as you never know when you need to repair luggage, patch a shoe, remove lint, baby-proof a socket and more.
Bandana: This versatile wonder can be a hand towel, hair tie, eye mask, cooling swab, fashion scarf, hobo bag, just about anything!
Refillable Water Bottle: Depending on where you're going, buying bottled water might be best, but why go disposable if you can refill your own to stay hydrated on the road.
Ziploc bags: Not only do you need them for carting toiletry items, they're handy for carting wet bathing suits, storing socks and underwear, coralling dirty duds, preventing leaks, keeping jewelry, packing electronics and cords, making an ice-pack etc...
Safety pins: For when your zipper breaks, backpack rips, button pops, bra strap snaps and endless other uses.
Wet wipes: Not just for messy toddlers, toss in a pack of antibacterial wipes to sanitize that tray table and hotel door knob, and use as a stain remover in a pinch.
Snacks: With airport delays and sketchy meal service on board, always have a few things on hand to keep the munchies at bay. Nobody likes a cranky traveler.
Hand scale: Airlines are taking a tough stance on baggage allotment, so know exactly how much you're toting before you get to the airport and have to do an awkward reshuffle.

Australia is a vast country with a myriad of natural wonders, metropolitan cities and unique wildlife to explore.
1. Don’t Say “Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie”
This lame slogan was part of a 1980s ad campaign featuring Paul Hogan targeting an American audience to come to Australia. Aussies actually call them "prawns".
2. Don’t Underestimate Distances
Australia is so big England can fit into it almost 60 times! Apart from long hauls through unforgiving desert, even the more populated routes can take longer to get to than you think.
3. Don’t Take Beach Safety Signs Lightly
Every year people are injured at the beach, some fatally, for not heeding these warnings.
4. Don’t Surf Without Knowing the Etiquette
Well, for example, the person closest to the peak of the break has the right to ride it. Don’t drop into another person’s wave. Paddle outside of the zone where a lineup of surfers might be coming at you. Secure your leg rope and don’t be a wave hog.
5. Don’t Climb Uluru
The views at the top of the rock are phenomenal, and it’s not a particularly difficult 348 meter climb. Even the 35 deaths from scaling the rock were mostly heart attacks. However, climbing this sacred, spiritual, monolith is considered offensive and disrespectful to the local Anangu people. So be respectful and skip the climb!
6. Don’t Pet the Dingos
They may look like cute pooches but they're basically wild dogs so don’t pet them or encourage them around your picnic site. There have been a handful of high-profile attacks so be wary.
7. Don’t Go to Fraser Island with an Inexperienced Driver
This is a popular thing to do as a backpacker. However, make sure that you have an experienced 4WD driver. One of the major roads there is literally sand on the beach, so deflate your tires and pay attention to the tides. Don't be the idiot who drives around the Maheno wreck and then needs a rescue.
8. Don’t “Root” For a Team
Don't ask an Aussie which football team they’re rooting for, you might get some strange looks.
One last thing to Know Before You Go;
9. Don’t Believe Stories of Drop Bears
Drop bear lore is legendary down under. These koala-like creatures live in the trees and can drop down upon unsuspecting people. But fear not! There is a strong repellent to avoid these beasts. Just spread Vegemite behind your ears.

5. For Brunch.
Take a walk down Morton Street in the West Village and you'll come across two park benches and an unmarked green door, open the door and go in and you'll find a romantic outdoor garden that belongs to the Hudson Clearwater restaurant.
