My thoughts on Beyond Divinity and how well it stacks up to Divine Divinity. From the perspective of a Linux user using WINE to get it running, it ran almost flawlessly as long as you follow the instructions in my earlier video on how to set things up.
This system is WAY easier than Circe. Had it not been for dumb luck, I would have beat this mission on the first try. Maybe had I brought a better wingman...
A bit of an uneven divide here for this video, but I feel it was best to put all of the entrance exams in the same video rather than split them up. Also, I'm blind and didn't see the Raanaar ghost who gave me the Test of Faith walking in the corridor until I edited the video. Fortunately, I didn't really have to talk to her again to complete things.
I was hoping this could be one video, but no such luck. This is the 1st floor and basement area of the Battle Tower before I head up to face Laiken and his demonic ally.
Another broken mission. At least this time it didn't take me over half an hour to finish it. It does make a good save point for future missions where I can get an automatic funeral scene for each pilot, because they just magically die at the end. Long story short, don't do this branch of missions. You'll fail no matter what.
Here's the final battle. The Demon of Lies wasn't much of a threat when you're at what is most likely the highest level you can get in the game. The end credits go on for a while and are pretty pointless if you don't want to stick around unless you like listening to me talk here and there. :)
The Lunar Subterrane floors B8 - B12 kept going without a savepoint until the very end where you finally free Cecil's mind. Of course, I had to do the fight twice because there are two separate bestiary entries for the Dark Knight because why wouldn't there be??
I took care of some bounties in the surrounding area as well before getting redirected from the Slayer camp back up to High Hall. Still couldn't find the Imp Lair though...
This temple was way longer than I thought it would be. It does divide fairly evenly between this part and the next though. Here I'm forced to complete three dragon trials and then I'm confronted by Laiken's undead lover in the Eternal Maze.
After hearing of a prophecy in Mysidia, we return to Baron where we're confronted by a brainwashed Yang. Fortunately, a few smacks upside his head got him to remember we're friends. Afterwards we snuck into the castle via the ancient waterway.
