*Hold On!* *Jesus Will Come* *Christian Memorial Worship* *READ*
*Dedicated to those whom God has called home this last month.
Yes it is Labor Day weekend and some folks have off work Monday.
However, some are not going to have work on Earth ever again. They have left this life of limited days, full of pain, illness, anger, tears and the blessings of family, to be joined with our Lord in HIS Kingdom. We call it passing or dying. Instead it is the *&birth*& of a finite life to a perfect, painless, tear free, joyous life everlasting.
When the Lord calls us home, we have no choice but to go. Believers will find that death from this limited life is nothing for THEM to be afraid of or to cry about. They are now beginning their eternal life through Jesus Christ, who won the victory over sin, death and grave.
Those who love, or depend on this person cry and mourn. They love and often need the person who has been called. Many want to go with them.
We get so caught up in the existence here and now, how to do what we need to live this life on Earth. But this is just a temporary place. We are born, we live, we die. But God knew that we needed to be forgiven for the sin we were born with. ALL HAVE SINNED and come short of the Glory of God.
Jesus gave us His life, His Blood, His Body on the cross for one reason, LOVE. God loves us and wants us to be with Him eternally. These bodies are vessels for our souls. The bodies give out, are subject to illness and pain and not meant to last much longer than 70 + years, with some much less and others more.
In any case, in His infinite mercy and love God calls us home when this body is no longer able to house our souls. Our souls are not our brains, or heart nor anything physical. Yet God has yours in His power if you believe in Jesus as your Savior and confessed your sins to Him and ask for forgiveness.
This last week we said "Farewell, see you again one day, soon I hope".
This is NOT a death wish. For believers it is seeing a loved one pass from one place to somewhere that could never be duplicated on Earth. It is knowing that their beloved father, brother, husband, friend has gone to their final HOME. It is not JUST SOME NICE IDEA, but a truth that we KNOW to be as real as this world seems to be.
Lord we ask you to comfort those who are bereft of the person they loved so much. Help them to KNOW that their own pain will be softened by the fact that there will be no more pain or suffering from than. Remember the good times you had with that loved one. Keep their memories alive by telling other about your loved one.
They may have passed from this veil of tears but they are not dead.
In fact, believers are enjoying their eternal life with joy, peace, painless, carefree living through Jesus.
