This is something that's done the rounds again thanks to recent discussions from the BCH community about this. I share my thoughts on this, after (once again) having talked with the DigiByte developers, and they remain confident that *not* doing what BCH are doing is the best way forward. If people want to optionally donate, then let them do it optionally!
However, enforcing it, is centralization, and that's not what this blockchain space should be about.

When people talk about paying with cryptocurrency, this is what we're up against.
We've gotta be totally integrated with these devices or the point-of-sale system, so you can pay immediately (No extra steps), otherwise I believe that people simply won't bother. Why take the extra steps in paying with Crypto, when this is even faster, easier, more streamlined?
Know of any payment processors that DigiByte could integrate with? Let's talk with them!

Big thanks to Nigel / Murat for all their work in collating this all, and to our translators too. If you can help with Portuguese, Russian, Korean or Arabic the hit the tweet up above and go join POEditor
There's a sneak peak at the Dividends website that I've been working on, I hope to have this publicly available really soon and to make this project open-source as well.
Finally, join me tomorrow at 9AM NZST (2PM PST) and we'll go over the DigiByte infopaper that I wrote, which isn't a Whitepaper coz we have a fully working project, but is hopefully going to be similar to what people often ask for:

Todays DigiByte Update was inspired by a question from Crypto_Kyuubi:

So thank you to Crypto_Kyuubi for asking, it's a fantastic question!
Is it decided that we'll do ProgPOW already? I then expand upon it a little and explain who decides which algorithms we're going to implement etc
You can check out the Medium post I reference here:

This is the old Odocrypt signalling stats site, which we'll get up and running for ProgPOW as well:

This isn't a DigiByte Update, but just a bit of an update on me personally to explain why I've not made videos this last week. Have moved in to a new house, and am unpacking now. Hope to start back with regular videos within the next week... Once I find all my PC parts ?

Mining needs to be decentralized so one or two particular entities can't "rewrite history", so I show DigiByte vs other popular blockchains and how our mining distribution is so much more decentralized thanks to our Multi-Algo mining
Some of the names I've been looking at are:
DigiBytes
DigiTalk
Bytes on DigiByte
DigiClips
Digestible Bytes
