As the area auto-scrolls, watch for Bullet Bill cannons and pits of spikes. The first Star Coin floats over one pit of spikes with a shell-less Koopa wandering. The 2nd Star Coin is in the water before a fish jumps by. Some Bullet Bill cannons may be angled, and dodging the bullets could be a little harder. The 3rd Star Coin floats over a set of ? Blocks. After encountering a Boomerang Bro, you’ll reach the checkpoint. Where invisible coins are, spiked balls will float on the water. Go by some cannons hanging in the ceiling and you’ll find the 4th Star Coin when more spiked balls appear. The 5th Star Coin is by a set of black crates. Continue ahead and you’ll reach the goal.

On Tuesday, Blaine will be on Cinnabar Island. Talk to him and he will give you his phone number on the PokéGear. Call him on a Tuesday afternoon and he will be at the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City. Torkoal will use Sunny Day to change the weather for 5 turns and Yawn to make the target fall asleep the next turn. Camerupt will use Eruption that does massive damage but will deal less damage the lower the user’s HP is. Rapidash will use Quick Attack to strike first and Flare Blitz to deal big damage at the cost of its own HP. Magcargo will use Curse to modify its stats and Gyro Ball to deal more damage against faster targets. Houndoom will use Dark Pulse for a 20% chance of making the target flinch and Sucker Punch to strike first. Magmortar will use Confuse Ray to confuse the target and Low Kick to deal more damage against heavier targets. A move like Earthquake works best for this battle.

Goldenrod City’s gym has a maze with female trainers. Solve the maze and you’ll take on the gym leader. Whitney uses Normal type Pokémon. Clefairy will use Mimic to copy off an opponent’s move then Metronome to use any random move. Miltank will be the hard part as it will use Milk Drink when running low on HP. Its Rollout attack will repeat for 5 turns in a row, growing even more powerful. After winning, Whitney will be devastated, not able to offer anything. As you’re about to leave, a female trainer will tell you about Whitney’s devastation so you should speak with the gym leader again. Speak to Whitney again and she will give you the Plain Badge along with a TM45 (Attract). When Attract is used, the opposite gender is less likely to move.

Red can only be battled in the Champions Tournament. His team is exactly the same when he was atop Mt. Silver. Pikachu holds a Light Ball to gain double the power and will use Volt Tackle for big damage but will receive recoil damage. Lapras will use Ice Shard to strike first. Snorlax can sometimes strike first with the Quick Claw it holds and use Body Slam to paralyze opponents. Venusaur will use Sludge Bomb to poison opponents and Leaf Storm with a White Herb taking effect for once to restore a lowered stat. Charizard will use Air Slash to make the target flinch. Blastoise holds a Choice Scarf to raise Speed but can use only one move; it can mainly use Water Spout to brutally strike the opponents. Make sure you have a whole variety of moves for this battle.

After capturing Reshiram, return to the Giant Chasm where Ghetsis left his cane behind and you’ll see Kyurem there. Save your game before you interact. Kyurem is on Level 70. Its signature move is Glaciate, a move that attacks the opposing team and lowers their Speed stat. Dusk Balls would be recommended since you’re battling in a cave. After capturing Kyurem, Bianca and Cheren will check on your progress. The DNA Splicers will be on the ground for you to take and you can change forms of Kyurem, which requires Zekrom or Reshiram in your team.

Violet City’s gym leader, Falkner uses Flying type Pokémon. Rock types have an advantage over Flying types but be careful as the opponents counterfeit using Mud-Slap. Pidgeotto will use Gust for basic damage if you’re armed with either Bug or Grass types. After winning, you’ll receive the Zephyr Badge and a TM31 (Mud-Slap). Mud-Slap is a weak Ground type attack that lowers the target’s Accuracy stat.

The stage begins with needle rodents and a pit of spikes. Fall through and do some sliding but watch for lunging needles. Use the Rush Coil to reach ladders 3 times and you’ll find the gate to battle the first Doc Robot. The first Doc Robot inhabits the soul of Air Man and will attack by shooting out small tornadoes that block attacks. Using Spark Shocks and Magnet Missiles are recommended for this battle. After defeating the first Doc Robot, the next area has dragonflies and parachute clowns. Use the Rush Jet to cross over a big hole. Climb 2 ladders and you’ll next see a giant helmet. Aim for the plus symbol on the helmet to attack it then you’ll next see some flying helmets ahead. After passing some big ball cannons, you’ll battle another giant helmet. After one more needle rodent, enter the gates to take on the 2nd Doc Robot, who inhabits the soul of Crash Man. This Doc Robot jumps and throws bombs to the turf. Hard Knuckles have a huge advantage and the Top Spin ability works well also.

The stage begins with opening platforms and ladders. Climb your way up and you’ll next see chomp traps along with spikes and bees. Navigate the rest of the room over spikes by using the Rush Jet and collecting items on the ground. The gate leads to the boss room where a newly improved Yellow Devil will appear. The Yellow Devil MK-II will appear in fragments and once it fully forms, shoot Hard Knuckles to easily damage it. After it shoots, its body will shred into fragments and move to the other side of the room. Focus carefully as it turns into fragments because there are many different patterns of the fragments moving to the other side.
