Crucial Starship Upgrades Against Cosmic Rays & Zero-G [How To Make Mars A Habitable Planet]
In this video we want to think about how to make mars a habitable planet. Without some crucial upgrades to the current colonization ideas, we deem mars colonization impossible. We show ways to overcome the detrimental effects of low gravity and cosmic radiation, and therefore how to make mars habitable for humans.

1:28 First of all we'd of course like to congratulate SpaceX on the amazing achievement of the first Starhopper 150 m high Starhopper test hop, this is a day for the history books! This will actually enable our future on Mars. But before thinking about that, some severe problems have to be overcome.
1:59 After showing in our last video that terraforming Mars with nukes will not work, we want to take a look at some research papers.
2:32 And then the problems persist on Mars as well, because the red planet doesn't have a magnetic field, and the gravity is only 38% earth gravity.
3:25 Recent studies show that for example a low g environment wreaks havoc on the human body over longer periods of time. Then there is also the very big problem of cosmic radiation. New studies show that on a trip to and from mars, the cosmic radiation would severely impact the cognitive abilities of the astronauts in a very strong and negative way.
5:45 We therefore want to propose a way of a complete colonization and a mars terraforming timeline, step by step, in order to overcome every single one of these problems.
5:52 The Starship to mars would need to be modified by tethering together two or more Starships and also the Starships would need shielding with hydrogenated BNNTs.
8:47 Then after arriving on mars, we would construct mars homes underground in martian caves or lava tubes. After that, we would construct rotational ring habitats as fast as possible, in order to reduce the detrimental effects of low gravity environment on the human body.
9:43 We then would move below ground after quite some time and build huge dome structures made of aerogel material. They would warm themselves only by sun rays.
Then we could outfit these domes with the rotational habitats in order to also have 1 g in these domes. We then would have sunlight, 1 g and nice temperatures in these domes.
12:02 Afterwards, we would start terraforming mars with advanced technology not yet available today, in order to access the deep hidden martian CO2 reserves, else we'll never get to high enough atmospheric pressure. We'll probably also need genetically engineered CO2 producing, extremely resilient bacteria. After a few hundred years the terraforming process should then be finished.
12:45 We absolutely believe that humans on Mars 2030 is absolutely realistic, and 3d printers will probably also see heavy utilization to first creat
