Declutter your life with simple action in 2019 #tidyingupchallenge
Not going to lie - I'm going super in on this Marie Kondo train. Are you on board too or still questioning it? I went around my home with my partner and we set aside items that no longer provided value or a sense of happiness. It had been a while since I had done a deep "clean" so I used this as a challenge to my self. Have you started your clean up?
I went to Goodwill to drop off some donations and there was an insane of amount of bags and boxes lined up for intake. A lady behind me dropping off stuff was like "It's a great time I guess to come shop at Goodwill".
Growing your channel can be hard but there's 1 Youtuber whose totally killing it and I think I know 3 reasons why folks keep coming back to his videos, subscribing, liking and all that good stuff.
I'm talking about Graham Stephan, a real-estate investor making solid content about investing your money, real-estate, his challenges, success and more. He's transparent, shows his true personality and appealing to a lot of millennial.
He's definitely someone to watch out for. His channel is growing like crazy and he's definitely bringing in a wide demographic through his branding and value throughout his videos.

As some of you know I work from home, #wfh. And if you didn't know, hi I'm Irma and I $work #remotely as a Product Manager. When I first start working from home I was not the best with managing my time. I had a long list of to-dos daily and a few note catchers across my computer to help me track and check off times as I went. It was a mess. I wasn't organized and I wasn't seeing how valuable it was to structure my team and my responsibilities.
When working from home or working remotely, we deal with tons of distractions. Whether it's email, Slack, meetings, or your doggo needing to be taken out for a walk. So, when it's time to really sit down and get that long list of items done we have to get serious about time.
I started to try and deep work and really focus so that I could be the most productive remote employee within my distributed team in tech. But I quickly came to find out that no matter how serious I was about focusing in on my work, it seemed like I was always needed for something. I would get pulled here or there and it totally interrupted my work every single time.
I found a time hack to get more work done! That time hack that now increases my productivity is time blocking. Time blocking is super simple as long as your team is flexible or you can get this approved by your manager. Pick 1 or 2 days out of the week where you don't have any meetings and block off 1 hour or 2 hours. Add a title like 'focus block' or 'deep work' and anytime someone tries to schedule a meeting they'll see your busy. Another alternative to this is setting your status in Slack to the same labels as I mentioned earlier. And you're off to the productivity races of 2019 and beyond!

Remote jobs are tricky to land. But here are a few ways you can make your resume, cover letter or even portfolio stand out when applying to them online or via referrals.
I go over 3 ways:
1) Write a case study and publish it online
2) Ship or build your projects and showcase them
3) Connecting with someone on the team you're interested in working for
I've tried these hacks myself and they've worked and I'm confident they will work for you too.
