A while back (around 2017), I had a credit card company requested my tax return because I used the card and purchased gold/silver. Another company completely cut me off without giving me a reason why. Another credit card company flagged every crypto transaction I made, it was a living hell, though it wasn't much. Now Blockfi is going through bankruptcy, I can't even closed my credit card because they dont response to their customers requests. Credit cards are useful but they track every transaction. If you dont think that is a problem, then considered that they charge about 17%-22% on interest. Do you have any investment that pays 17%-22% on your return? Exactly. Banks are convenient because payments are build upon it, but they dont have interest of the people in mind. Purely centralized and profit. Krypto is the same way. Second, the idea of asking permission to spend my money is bizarre. Especially when I'm on the phone with them and verified everything about my life and they told me no. Not counting the fact that it cost $30-$40 dollars for a wire transfer. The worst part of it all was that the representative was bullshitting me. That is why Bitcoin makes sense to me. If we dont learn how to manage our finance and we trust a third party to do it, it always fail. You dont have to believe my story, just look at history. Trust is expensive, and time and time again it's been broken. That is why I separate Bitcoin and Krypto. Krypto is build the same way as traditional banking. Centralized and trust, that is why I dont trust krypto no matter how nice they are on the surface. Verify, dont trust.
