In Damascus, meeting with Michel Aflaq, spiritual father and theoretician of the Baath, the socialist party of Arab resurrection. Jacques Abouchar questions him about his absence from the ministerial team, while the Baath largely contributed to the fall of the Kassem regime on February 8 in Baghdad. Michel Aflaq responds that the Baath Party exists in several Arab countries and that he is the secretary general of the national committee of this party, but does not belong to a single Arab country.
